    Quoted from MeesterPieter:

Thanks! Yes has been great. My daughter is growing and we are almost back to normality.

All well. I have been on family/parental leave after the birth of my daughter.

I did not yet run out of topics. There are a few more hardware platforms laying around which still need a bit of polishing or testing on my end. Also I did not yet cover all the hardware supported by MPF (i.e. VPX, VPE, Pololu Tic, APC, Virtual DMDs). We will probably cover servos in OPP/Cobrapin in a few weeks as this has been added to the firmware and I will add it to MPF soonish. I also want to cover Spike - not sure yet how deep. We reverse engineered the system so we understand most of it very thoroughly. I guess I will first only cover how we support it in MPF and we can go into nasty details if there is more interest. Then we got more general topics such as mini games, EM ladder logic, sound, parallel LEDs, power supplies and more. Additionally, we keep adding stuff to MPF so we could cover that as well: Performance tuning, Spike firmware changes, advanced event blocking, ball ending and ball tracking changes, shot group improvements, LISY1 changes, OPP changes, a lot of better error messages, System11 fixes, better add a ball and ball save ergonomics and that is just the last month . Furthermore, we could cover specifics of machines from different areas like system11 A/C coils and their troughs etc.

Did a small spontaneous stream yesterday about the new blinkenlights player. Recording will be up tonight.

jabdoa : Congratulation to your "Nachwuchs". So you have to build a little pinball machine for your daughter. Sadly I missed the last stream, but watched it on youtube. Very interesting. Ive also learned a lot in MPF as you were on parental leave in MPF. My programming skills are slowly getting serious .

I'm planning a stream for today about how modern pinball control systems work. How do "hardware rules" work to minimize latency and jitter? Afterwards, we will do some Q&A. Will be live around 2pm PST or 11pm GMT+2. Join at: https://www.twitch.tv/jabdoa/.

A little bit later than usually so that I can bring my child to bed first. Hope that works.

    Hi Jabdoa

do you please post a few days before your next stream here. For me its the best way to not miss the stream. I have only this twitch account because of your streams and Im only login there for your streams. But Im nearly daily on pinside.....so it would be very nice if you tell us here when your next stream occurs as youve done in the past

Will do. Currently, I am a bit busy personally but I will be back on stream soon. Will post here in advance.

Tomorrow, I will be hacking service mode to also support segment displays. Currently, it has slides which work for well for DMDs. They work on LCDs but only use very few space of the screen. I plan to separate slides from service mode and implement three sets of slides for segment displays, DMDs and LCDs. Way forward we could change high score mode, tilt mode and bonus mode the same way to gain optimal experience for all kinds of machines. Will start at around 2pm PDT or 10pm GMT+1.
