    Hi guys,

I'm one of the authors and maintainers of the Mission Pinball Framework. To add support for all kinds of pinball hardware I acquired most of the stuff on the market. As I know got all that laying around I want to show it to you guys so that you can get an idea how certain hardware or software works and we can try stuff together.

So far I did streams about:
    - MPF Service Mode
    - PIN2DMD with MPF
    - Open Pinball Project Hardware
    - Serial LEDs in Pinball
    - Multimorphic P3-Roc System
    - Steppers in Pinball
    - Servos in Pinball
    - Magnets in Pinball
    - How to Structure Modes in MPF?
    - How to Test Your Pinball Machine using Automated Tests?
    - How to Use State Machines in MPF?
    - How to Implement New Hardware Platforms?
    - How to Use a Pinball Playfield as Display?
    - How to Use Player or Machines Variables in MPF?
    - How to Extend MPF with Python?

    Those are archived on YouTube:

Thanks very much for posting this Jan - you are very generous with your time and effort on MPF and these video sessions and they help us who are on the homebrew path.

I liked the mechanical solution to dimming the leds too

Those RGBW are brutal. Much brighter than normal RGB.

Next stream on Saturday will be about servos in pinball. I got servos and a few controllers to play with.

    #7 2 years ago

Got my setup for Saturday prepared. As controllers I prepared: FAST Servo daughter board, Multimorphic PD-LED, I2C Servo Controller and a RPi. Got linear and standard tower servos.

Nice Jan, also great that its available to rewatch on youtube (perhaps cut the first 10-15 welcome screen in the youtube upload?)

    keep up the good work

Thanks. Yeah good idea. I have to figure out what is the easiest way to do that. Editing and reencoding it locally plus uploading it again takes quite some time (encoding alone is around an hour). There is probably a way using Twitch highlights. I will look into that for the next video.

    #20 2 years ago

Turns out you can simply cut your videos in the YouTube Editor. Works pretty well. Edited them all. The welcome screen should be gone in a few minutes for all videos (they need to be processed at YouTube again).

    #21 2 years ago

    Yeah i thought so

Tomorrow, Saturday, 1pm PST or 10pm GMT+2, I will explain how ball devices and ball tracking works in the Mission Pinball Framework. Which tricks exist to improve reliability? Check in at: https://www.twitch.tv/jabdoa/.

I upload them with roughly one day delay. They are cut a little bit and I add time markers. I still need 100 followers to be able to choose a "nice" url on YouTube .
