I simply pulled out the upper left wire piece so there was more length for it to fit in the hole firmly. I did this without removing anything, as the right side gate is secured firmly on that side. It's a bit difficult to wedge your fingers underneath the ramp where the gate is, but this is easier to do that taking everything apart. Haven't had a problem since, after 50+ games.
