I hear what you're saying, but the UV Kit being a fairly expensive add-on REALLY rubbed me the wrong way at the time. It was like salt in the wound, especially given the other release date issues (code, Demogorgon, etc.)
Still feels like something that should be included from the factory, as the game feels incomplete without it

My take was that I was just glad it existed in some form and wasn’t completely scraped for cost like the proton packs for GB. Sucks to have to pay, but at least they weren’t cancelled completely.

Spot on. I’m sure that debacle is what prompted them to keep it.

That’s a mod. I think stern tried some sort of lighting with them to cross the streams across the playfield at times. Connected in that plug in the outlanes.
