ball save from kickouts (gene, groot, scoops on ghostbusters/TNA) make sense because the kickout is the only factor of the trajectory -- if it sends it straight down the middle, there's nothing you (as a player) could have done to prevent that.
When you shoot a dangerous target (like the gate on MM, the visor on pinbot/jackbot, shield on AFM, and the center targets on #stern-stranger-things-pro) what risk is there if you get a ball save from it?
