Sorry but you can't raise the cover plate without trimming it : you can put washers/spacers under the 2 bolt down on the left ramp, but the top one and the one on the top right of the ramp cant be installed, the cover is inserted under the surrounding plastics.

Also, I have issues with my TK Lock as well, and I think the diverter is not closing fast enough when the balls crosses the optos.
I have tried everything, the checklist, the coil settings, the game pitch, and most of the time the ball gets pinched by the diverter and is sent backward, with a 75% SDTM chance.

Really annoying.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Does this happen with the cover off? Not sure how it can be the timing of the diverter when others don’t have this issue.
Have you taken out the screw that holds the snug plate to the backboard? This lets the back of the ramp sit away from the backboard. Also have you messed with the rubber stopper post on the diverter mech that allows you to adjust where the diverter sits at rest? I would also try dialing back your flipper power especially if it’s at full power. Try 235-240
I thought the ramp on TWD prem was a pain. This takes the cake for sure. Haha

- cover off, the ball is too fast... first shot almost miss the magnet (but it get caught most of the time) but then any other one the ball bounce back on the already locked ball and not stay there, and being sent back to the left ramp. So without the cover, even if the diverter is "slow" to engage, it is not preventing teh ball to get to the magnet
- I have removed the screw that hold the ramp, but with a slo mo video I Can see the ramp wobbling when the ball is coming, so I dont think it's a good solution to ensure stability to go up the diverter
- I have not tune the rubber stopper, only the 4 screws that allows to change the diverter position when closed. I tried the Stern recommendations (13/16) but also the tight position where the ball can travel through it but not much more. No real improvement there
- Dialing back the right flipper power and I Can see the ball is entering slower, but does not go up to the magnet either. It is stopping before and gets back to the left ramp the same way

Quoted from imagamejunky:

Today I've had 2 complete system restarts.
Both times it happened immediately after I had a ball save and the auto plunger shot the ball into the lit extra ball lane. The graffic on the display started the extra ball animation and then froze. It restarted on it's own. Today is the first I've seen this. Since both times this happened at exactly the same moment I'm assuming it's a code issue and not anything loose. I've checked all wired connections.
Anyone else see this bug?

Yep, I had 1 similar restart too

#3768 3 years ago

+1, it happened 3 times up to now, ball enters mystery lane/mode start, freeze then reset.

Quoted from Deez:

This is what I believe my issue is also. The lift arm isn't close enough to the wall of the ramp but there is no play when I loosen all the screws and try and move it. I'm not sure wtf they're talking about or what I need to do.

Same observation for me. After removing all screws from the hex posts and the screw from the backplate, there is almost no room to move the ramp forward.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

It’s hard because everyone’s issues are different and some claim to have no issues. My issues didn’t start until I had 50 plays on it or so. And mine works fine for the first 30 mins or so of each session and gets worse when the flippers get tired.

Also same here. All looks fine when I play after powering up the machine, then the reject rate goes up and up the more I play.

Wow...

LE/PRE V0.92.0 - May 21, 2020
=====================

...
- Fixed a bug where the left ramp diverter was not operating as intended and in consequence prevented the ball to get caught by the magnet.
...

Just kidding...

What is this "new ramp" you are talking about ?
I have a Premium edition, I sent my concerns regarding the TK lock mech, but did not hear about any new hardware.

Quoted from billsfanmd:

Still waiting on mine. I think it’s been 6 weeks. How long did yours take?

#4483 3 years ago

After HOURS of tries and slo mo video, adjusments, fine tuning, the TK Lock does NOT work with the ramp cover: the ball bounce on it 90% of the time and does not climb the arm, then gets rejected.

If I replace the ramp cover with a cardboard one, with the same shape as the plastic one, then the TK Lock works with a success rate of 90% and flipper power set to 210.

My game is setup at about 6.8 degree.

I HOPE that Stern will provide some fix for this mech.
