So how’s the new code. Want to load it but love the Cleland sound update.

#6520 3 years ago

Thanks a lot. Just loaded the new code. Such an awesome game, love the layout, sounds, and music. I’m so glad I got one. Just made the MXV skill shot as well, 30 mil bonus to start off a game is great!

Just added Titan GITD rings and they look awesome when the UV kicks in.

#6705 3 years ago

Cleland sound mod plus an external sub really sounds great. Such a great pin.

Added a Premium Apron to my pro [quoted image]

Great mod, I also added a premium apron with a premium UV kit. I closed out the apron gap with a modified Stern center drain ball guide bracket. https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/535-8393-00

There will be a gap. I added a premium apron with a premium UV kit on my Pro. I closed out the apron gap with a modified Stern center drain ball guide bracket. https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/535-8393-00

Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:

The concern is there may be a large blank space in the apron since there is no projector on a pro

Here’s the gap for reference.

Mine is wearing through, who did you contact at Stern.

Quoted from C0untDeM0net:

I've been in constant contact with Pablo over my machines issues. I've had good luck submitting service requests through the contact us form to start with

Thanks a lot, I’ll give it a try.

#7567 3 years ago

So far I’ve been able to pull it off twice in one game. Such a great game!

#7618 3 years ago

Just played some great games, can’t say enough good things about this pin, great designers, layout, flow, rules, sounds etc...Just so glad I got it.

Death saves are not required, use the flipper buttons to move the lit insert until all are lit then shoot the mystery shot.

#7735 3 years ago

Just had an awesome game, total isolation is so cool. A super Jackpot call out would be a nice addition.

Quoted from PinPickle:

When the ball goes down the Right outside drain lane and I have a great game going... I want the death save. Lol

Nice, I’m sure it’s possible. I usually keep the flipper up on out lane drains and sometimes get a lucky bounce out and keep on playing.

Bought from JJ at Game Exchange. Great guy and awesome service.

Quoted from haveaniceswim:

Has anybody changed the slingshot corner protectors from metal washers to colored plastic washers sold at Titan? I’m waiting for my UV kit, wondering what color would look best. Glow in the dark’s not an option...
[quoted image]

I’m using the clear ones so they don’t block the artwork.

Nice! Today i bought hopper’s chevy 1:32 jada toys. Any idea how to mount this car? Thought doublesize tape but maybe there is an better way?

I use Alien tape, it’s strong yet can be easily removed without damaging anything.

Sounds good. I used the original mount with clear tape and tied in the LEDs in Hoppers truck to one of lights on the back panel assy.

#8677 3 years ago
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Do you have a link to the LEDs you used? I am kinda new to modding and using LEDs. I am 50 lol and got into pinball in 2019, so still a work in progress lol.

I used the LEDs and connectors from Comet Pinball.

Quoted from Pin_Fandango:

I was looking at these yesterday, wondering if they stay in place properly or if they bounce a lot/wiggle as the ball runs on them.

It fits the lane perfectly and comes with some tape near the ball trough and I add a piece of Mylar near the end to lock it down.

Quoted from dinot:

Pro owners... has anyone had the up-post get stuck?
My up-post seems to get stuck in the up position (maybe 50% of the time). It isn't catching on the ramp. I'll inspect the assembly tomorrow but just curious if this is common.
When it gets stuck, any jostling will release it. So if I am playing, I know to hit the flippers if the post doesn't drop. That coil strike is enough of a shake to get the post to drop.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

So I got the topper and honestly I just think it's meh. Much better in attract mode than during the game...when it really doesn't do much. I'm sorry, but I've gotta be honest: I like the look of it on the game, but it's a pretty boring topper.

What code do you have. It’s very interactive with each mode, especially as you reach and pass total isolation. Costly for sure but that seems to be the norm now. I hear maybe another code update coming to add some more lighting effects. Such an awesome underrated game.

#9733 2 years ago

Yeah it changes colors and flashes with each mode and as you progress through them / finish them it becomes more colorful and flashy. I drain every time I try and watch the effects.

I was hot and heavy on those for quite a while, but lately I'm thinking i like how the stern ones seem more integrated into the rest of the artwork. Not sure yet though. Anybody have some personal pics of the tilt woods ones?

Quoted from Mbecker:

Hey all,
I played this for the first time the other day (for quite a while.. loving this game!) and had a question -- the "stern quarter search" mode -- does that reference something I'm missing? I don't get why it's in a totally different style, with the very comic-y title and they added a copywrite date to it that looks like its 1983 or something? Is that just to make it fit in with the 80's theme? Just seemed weird to me..
Also the pro vs prem -- is the demo mouth easier to sink balls into in the pro? The premium seems like it hardly ever went in, very difficult to hit. Maybe that's adjustable though somehow? (sorry haven't had time to dig back 200 pages to look for this, didn't see it recently brought up).

I love my Pro, so fast and no issues or adjustments needed, nail the demo within 2 shots ever time. I’ve never played the LE or Premium.

Quoted from Utesichiban:

Looks like I’ll be joining the pro club here in the next few weeks. Besides Cleland’s mod, what are the best mods for the game? I saw Mezel mods was working on a lit arcade sign. Is that still being made? Any insight is appreciated.

Stern UV light kit for sure. My pro has the premium and also added a couple of lights underneath to lite the plastics in the apron.

Titan glow in the dark rings go great with the UV kit as well.

Stern D&D die shooter rod looks cool too.

Stern topper has cool lighting effects as you progress through the game. A bit costly though.

Pinball Monk flipper coil cooling fans are awesome for long games.

Quoted from JakePG:

Is side armor recommend? Do they serve a purpose other than aesthetics? Thinking of getting them to help protect the artwork from wearing away where my fingers rest near the buttons. Is that a thing?

Mylar also works great.
