Quoted from Trindawg:

Where u gonna get it where ur NOT paying full retail. Everywhere I checked it was at least 5899.00. Or in some cases, more then that. I don’t get what your tryin to say.

If you call to a couple of the dealers (coin taker, flip’n out, Next Level pinball) you can normally get NIB games for $150-$250 under MSRP without any issue.

No credit card fees and dropped at your door for $5,600 for a JP pro before the $100 price increase that started the first of this year.
So I’m guessing you could get Stranger Things for $5,700 dropped at your door.

Quoted from Morhaus:

Expecting my Pro this week....one question on the topic of "what do you do to new games?" Do any of you apply a nice coat of wax, or novus 2, etc.? What do you all recommend to get this game ready for good long-lasting home use condition.

I wouldn’t wax it for a the first 30 days.
Paints (clear coat) has solvents that needs to evaporate off, wax seal the top so that it’s very hard for solvent to evaporate.

I used to paint cars professionally, I always used solvent based clear, but I’d think sterns playfield use a water base clear as most mass produced things use water based clears to keep the VOCs low these days. Anyway, letting it air out before putting a sealed layer of wax on top is a decent idea, because you don’t know how long, and at what temp they let the playfield cure.

Quoted from Trindawg:

Hey guys. How soon should I wax my playfield? My machine is less then a week old and I’m not sure how much time should pass before I throw a coat of wax on. Any suggestions ? I’m starting to see ball trails on the ball exit lane onto the playfield. It’s getting me worried.

When painting a car with a base coat + clear coat application you wait at least 30 days, before waxing (I use to professionally paint cars).
Paint (clear coat) has solvents that need to evaporate off, wax builds a seal on top of the paint so that it’s very hard for solvent to evaporate.

The playfields pooling that Stern had issues with this last August + September were partially due to the clear still being soft because they still had not yet hardened and cured thoroughly (solvents aired out).

Just my 2 cents, Either way flip it and dig it.
