Just unboxed and played our Pro. Me and my 9 yr old love it. No problems sinking the ball in the demogorgan. Haven't updated the code yet.
The game is fast and a drain monster when hitting the center targets, hopefully they add some code for a ball save when hitting that shot.

Quoted from Trindawg:

Where exactly in the settings would I find the adjustment for the flipper power? I want to adjust it down just a little.

I can't fid the adjustment either, i went through the menus twice and didn't see anything for flippers

Tech Help
my Right Flipper on my stranger Things has suddenly become very weak. I checked all the bolts and screws and everything seems to be tight. It was working fine earlier today. Ive made no adjustments to any of the menu items. I did install new coil stops recently, but as stated before Everything has been working correctly until this afternoon. Visually everything looks fine as well. Could it be a bad coil? not sure what to check next. any help would be appreciated.

#5093 3 years ago

yep thats correct
powered the game off
reboot
very weak/limp
barely moves the ball up the playfield.

Left EOSis
11/8-SW-16

Right EOS is
12/8-SW-31

Left button
9/8 -SW-25

Right button
10/8-SW-16

#5097 3 years ago

if i cradle the ball and then attempt to make a shot from that flipper it has no "punch" more like a limp flick
left flipper is functioning as it should

#5098 3 years ago

OK
Im not sure how to determine this by "behaving the same"
there is a meter that is displayed but im not sure how to decipher the read out
when I press the flipper buttons these are the numbers that are displayed.
they both flip
I looked at the EOS on the assembly and they both visually look the same
could it be the leaf switch on the flipper buttons?
when you say clamp the gator clip on EOS, is that litereral

I apologize for my ignorance, I have williams and bally at home
Also a Iron Maiden that has never given me any problems
I can fix basics

THe game is here at my sub shop and my tools are at home, I will bring them in tomorrow and continue to diagnose

very interested in learning and figuring this out.
Thank you for your help, ILl post again when I have proper tools.

OK Gotcha

yes they are working correctly

So I did the alligator clip test and flipper was still weak
I disassembled the flipper mech and rebuilt it
still weak
My flippers were set at 195 for each and machine has been playing great including making the ramp shot on to the mouth.

I upped the right flipper power to factory setting of 255 and the flipper is playing better.
the left is still at 195
they both seem to be at the same power in terms of force.

Do you think its a weak coil?

#5109 3 years ago

Ill double check
The machine has about 400 plays on it currently

Thanks for the tip

#5113 3 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

195 is crazy low. That is part of the issue. Why do you have them that low?

I was having trouble with the demo mouth shot, I read that decreasing power made the shot easier. This is what I found to work on both flippers.
I changed it months ago. I was a actually surprised when I logged back into the adjustments as well.
never had an issue until yesterday.

If anyone else has any ideas let me know

thanks

Quoted from Leachdude:

You could swap coils to figure that out.

I went ahead ordered some coils since this machine is on location and I should have some backups.

Ill install when they arrive and report back.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Put both flipper powers back to stock.

copy.

done

Thank You

#5138 3 years ago

The latest on my weak right flipper issue.
The right flipper is getting stuck in the up position and stays that way unless the left flipper button is pressed.
Im assuming these 2 symptoms are connected?

#5143 3 years ago

replaced the coil stop and sleeve.
both flippers are on factory stock 255
I took flipper assembly apart and rebuilt.

Right flipper is weaker and has a hard time getting up the left ramps.

Today the right flipper started sticking in the up position.
Not all the time but when the flipper is being flipped alot.

Quoted from dmieczko:

Just to rule out binding to the bushing - pull up on the right flipper bat and make sure there's a tiny bit of play - it should be able to lift very slightly (about a credit card thickness gap) and fall back down. I've seen very poor flipper performance when the bats were not gapped properly with the bushings.

Will do

thank you

Thanks everyone for the tips they helped in general knowledge and future diagnosis

I figured out the problem with the weak and sometimes sticking right flipper

It was a coil sleeve. when I replaced the coil stops I also replaced the coil sleeves, as this game is on location at my sub shop and heavily played.
One of the sleeves was a few millimeters shorter than the the others. It was causing friction on the bracket. Noticed it when I rebuilt for the second time.
I bought a bag full of sleeves at a expo and I guess a shorter one got mixed in.

Game is working great again.

Love this game and out of all the machines at the shop this one gets played at least twice as much as the others.

This piece just slid down my playfield the screw was not attached.
it seems that it came from the demodog shot, there appears to be one still in place there though.

any ideas on where it goes?

Has anyone else had trouble with the gate in between the demodog and demogorgan lanes.
I've had to re screw it back three times now. Its extremely difficult to access. Every time I put it back on within 2-3 weeks its comes back off.
