Let’s put it this way, I ordered the Mezel arcade sign and the Stern shooter on the 4th of July and I don’t even own the game yet. I don’t want to get screwed with discontinued mods like I have in the past. Those are two of the best I’ve seen in some time (UV light kit too).

Couldn’t agree more on the “shape” of the rod. Can’t stand the heads and ones that want to murder your hand. This one is just right. Shape, theme, integration. Love it.

Yes it’s one of the mini arcade keychains that you can actually play Dig Dug on. It’s been modified to loop the attract mode during the Quarter Hunt mode, or you can have it always be on (I think)

You want cool mods for this game, get the Stern UV kit, the Stern shooter rod, and Mezel Mods spinning arcade sign. Those will knock your socks off.

Yes, the Titan glow in the dark rubbers are an absolute must with this game and the UV kit.

Does anyone know how long Stern typically keeps a game on the line (outside of Vaults) before retiring it? 3-4 years? If that’s the case, how long does STh have left?

I finally played a pro for the first time the other night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It confirmed my desire to add a premium to my lineup one day. I feel like Stern ends the production of premiums well before pros so I don’t want to miss out, as used premiums for any Stern title seem to come up for sale less often than pros and LE’s for some reason.

I played this game again a couple days ago and there was a constant line to get to it. Only pin I had to wait for. Other pins were getting played but not at the frequency of STh. Other pins were Munsters, Ghostbusters, Spider-Man, Aerosmith (not working), Star Wars (Stern), KISS, Simpson’s Pinball Party, Theater of Magic, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Monopoly, Pirates of the Caribbean (Stern), Family Guy.

Could just be the fact that it was the newest game there and played like a new game, but I really enjoyed my time with it again. Can’t wait to add it to the lineup.

I believe they’re glow in the dark (GITD) from Titan. The UV light really sets them off.

You can only install it on the left unless you design a custom bracket for it elsewhere. Looks great on the left IMO, and it’s tight but doesn’t appear to block the view of the TK lock. See post below for images:

Agreed on both points. I really hope they replicate that image for the topper too.

Just watched the first ten minutes, will finish the rest when I have more time. First off, that camera angle rocks, especially for this game due to the projector. I’ve never had a chance to play a premium/LE in person so seeing how the projector mapping works during gameplay through all different modes is cool as shit. Little things like the stand up targets, spinner and even the ramps do not show well on top down views. This changes that. Also, I rarely get to see what’s actually playing on the projector when it’s in the the traditional top down perspective.

Secondly, the upside down effect looks even better with those GITD bands from this angle.

And thirdly Cleland rocks.

Definitely making this my next NIB purchase and will likely do it in the winter/spring as I’m nervous it won’t have as long a run as other titles. Especially with TMNT and now AIQ killing it. Sterns gonna be on to the next one.

Not to dominate the thread with this, but the palace arcade moniker isn’t something people just came up with. It’s on the workers shirt in the episode too, and this is the same logo that’s used on most items. Matter of fact I own this shirt myself.

They just picked up filming again last week after the delay of COVID, so they’re way behind. I don’t think they’re committing to a release date beyond 2021 yet, and even that is a stretch. Man, these kids are going to look even older than they should be (once again). That’s the problem when the seasons don’t skip years. How old were they supposed to be again in S3, 14?

If you put the Dig Dug sensor in front of GI lighting it should remain on all the time, in theory.

Have glo balls on my GB but they’re not in play. Sounds like they would look awesome with the UV lights, as you said. However, curious what you mean by “they break down way too quickly and dirty up they projector surfaces”? Do the balls actually break? Also how does it dirty up the projector surfaces any more than a steel ball would?

That’s a feature in Ghostbusters, first time it happened it freaked me out. Super hard to play like that, so either hit both flippers at the same time or cross your hands so your brain can operate like normal. It is a pretty neat concept, and Stern has already done it once so it’s possible they add it again.

Wow your game looks great, and way different than stock. Most people don’t have the balls to replace all the graphics, especially on a new game, kudos to you for taking the plunge. I like it’s simple, yet intimidating appearance.

Wait, really? So I’ve been putting off this purchase for a bit as I want to make a big order with them and I am not ready for that just yet. This translite was one of the pieces I was going to order, however the art on yours is organized differently than the pic they have up on their site, which is a direct rip from the poster/marketing Netflix did for season 3. Did you request this change from Retro Refurbs, or do they make an alternate version of that one? Or did they just ship that to you without explaining why it differs from the picture on their site?

Totally agree. As a result the classifieds section has seen a large influx of toppers, from Stern to 3rd Party, with insane asking prices.

They did the same thing with Avengers IQ too. Seems to be their new marketing strategy, to make an “accessories” trailer soon after the game is announced.

The thing that doesn’t make sense is that every Stern release since they moved to Spike has had a topper made for it, even the titles that bombed like BKSOR (great topper btw), so it would be odd to never have one for STh. Plus the fact that they keep making light show updates for it with the last few code updates. It took a long time for the Star Wars topper to be announced/released, so I haven’t given up hope yet.

Agree with you, but then explain Black Knight? Sales couldn’t have been better than Stranger Things. I’m not saying it will definitely happen, but I have some hope. I wonder though if this topper was being designed as a motorized one, with a higher price, and then I could see the concern. But they sold out of the BK toppers right? I mean few things are hotter right now than toppers. It almost seems like they could make up whatever price they want and sell out. Almost.

Ok, that is sick. How did you do it? Go over the original Stern art with UV paint? Was it a paint pen or something else? Is the color “clear” when there is no black light shining on it or?

That’s me. I ordered every Stern accessory for this game as they came out, but I don’t own the game yet.

And now I can’t buy the premium NIB so I have the joy of finding a used one for a reasonable price. Figured Stern would make them for at least two years but it seems that Stern only makes premiums for one year. I know this game didn’t sell well initially so that probably had something to do with it.

Wow, sorry to see that. You are definitely missing at least 3x additional gray cushion pieces which may have saved it. Two on either side and one large one in the front. See pic attached of my STh topper, still in the box.
