We joined the club last Wednesday with a NIB Pro (Feb 2020 mfg date). We have had a few games over a billion (5-balls). What a great game...! We love it. Funnest pin I have played in a long time—it has it all.

Thanks to all of you who helped in my poll of which pin to buy—AIQ vs. STh—with input and feedback. Also, thanks to Cleland for the sound mod. It’s great.

UV kit on order with local vendor (The Pinball Dudes-great job by them with delivery and setup as well).

Plastic protectors (pink flourescent), Pinnovator subwoofer connector, shooter lane bash bat, and a couple of signs coming. We traded our 2 year old ST VE Pro plus cash.

This forum was/has been very helpful. I will post now more and not just lurk...LOL.

I have noticed after long play that the flippers get hot/less responsive, so we will consider the Tibetan fans. We are a 1-pin family—I think we made a great choice.

Thanks Chuck, for all of your help as well.

Topper—
Would it work the same on a Pro vs. Premium?
For those that have it, how would you rate the integration and value/enjoyment you get for the cost?
Does it connect easily, physically (or does it just rest on top of backbox) and electronically?
I haven’t seen one in person.
For owners, are you happy with purchase?
Thinking of ordering one.
Thanks.

Does Bullsh*t mode only come up on Mystery late into the game, say around 1 billion score? We have only seen it once in two weeks. Are all the Mystery awards coded? Many of them don’t seem to be awarded often...?

Quoted from MrMikeman:

Topper works the same on Pro or Prem.
2 connections. Power and data(network cable). It integrates nicely with the game. It screws into the top of the backbox. You remove 4 screws already there and reinstall them through the topper.
I'm a topper guy so yes I am happy with my purchase.
As far as value/enjoyment is concerned that's very subjective and really up to the owner. Can you live without it? Of course. It is integrated but brings nothing additional like the JP and SW toppers. TBH you never get a chance to look at it while playing.

Thx

Quoted from swampfire:

I could definitely see buying this topper for a location pin. If you can pull in more plays, it’ll pay for itself pretty quickly. This topper would make me walk in to take a look for sure.

Thx

Bazzy, what’s up with your avatar? Please tell me that’s not someone wearing someone else’s face. Heheh.

Old Halloween mask from Halloween night 2015. LOL. It’s pretty good eh!

Just installed Pinnovator’s subwoofer connector to our Pro. It’s banging now! A must add!

Quoted from palacekeeper:

Only saw one comment on this earlier, but does anyone else feel like the pop bumpers are not as responsive as they should be? Once in a while I get some good action going between the two bumpers but most of the time it's just a few hits. I'm remembering older machines I played as a kid, and back then you could really get some bumper action going and keep it going for a while with a few strategic shakes of the pin (not enough to tilt, but enough to keep the ball in action).

It seems to me that they dialed them down for the limited purpose in this game. Right?

Quoted from dinot:

I've gotten 1 stuck up by the police vehicle as well.
Which reminds me, pulling the glass on this game is an incredible chore. It is a very tight fit and getting it to slide off enough where I can grip it to pull it out is not something I look forward to.
Any ideas on what is causing it to do this? I know that it must be the side channel, but I don't know if it is because it is too tight vertically (meaning that it is pinching the top/bottom of the glass) or that it needs to move outwards because it is squeezing the side.
Thanks,

Our glass is very tight as well, unlike other pins.

Quoted from Utesichiban:

So I'd like to hear fron owners how the pro and premium models diffee in terms of game play?... I know the premium has the projector but what are the other differences? Are the premium upgrades worth the extra $$ or is it a model where the pro is almost just as good?
Any insight and thoughts are appreciated.

Pro all the way, very happy.

We have enjoyed our STh Pro. I tend to trade every 1-1 1/2 years for a new Pro. Our local distributor, whom I like, allows us to trade into a NIB Pro for $1,000. Thinking of trading our STh Pro for a Godzilla Pro. Does STh Pro have a higher used/trade market value for trade back to a distributor, meaning I should pay less than $1,000 difference, or is that still fair for this scenario…? I would appreciate any feedback, as I don’t want to miss anything in the trade equation. We started with NIB Star Trek Vault Pro, trading after a year and $1,000 for a NIB STh Pro — and now thinking of trading for NIB Godzilla Pro, for our STh Pro and $1,000. We are a 1-pin family. Thanks.
