I feel the same.
Quoted from JorgesArcade:Hello. I have a few mods on my pin. Lighted flipper buttons, light up leg protectors on front and a led strip tapped into the GI. I noticed the main projection screen doesn't start up with the rest of the pin. There is a slight delay, but noticeable.
Just wanted to make sure not causing issues with tapping the psu.
I have no mods, and occasionally my projector won’t start at all on startup and stays off even after starting a game. But if I go into settings and start projector test it comes on so I’m assuming it’s a software bug. Not sure if it’s the same with yours. Still haven’t heard of anyone else with the problem though.

Yes definitely a software bug. Turns on immediately , as I can see light, but takes longer to display image than lcd screen. I tried reflashing SD card and same results, even with Clelands code too.

I have this occasionally, so I just open the coin door and close it again, and it usually turns on right after. Not sure why it happens, but the fix is so simple for me that I haven't tried diagnosing it yet.
Here a new mod that I couldn't find anywhere: The Hawkins Lab Laser Have fun printing it

image1 (resized).jpgimage3 (resized).jpgHello all! Hope you are well. Picked up a Stranger Things Premium yesterday. Been having a blast with it but I kept hearing a tingy rattling sound when the Demogorgon attacks and the machine shakes so I figured it was the shaker that is installed. I unplugged the shaker and the rattle still happens so it has to be from the Demogorgon itself. Does anyone have a fix for this? It actually shakes the machine when it does it. Is this by design?
I'm regards to the shaker motor- I don't think it's actually firing when it should when playing. I have it set to max and I've tested it in the menu and it SHAKES the machine (which is what I want)...but I'm not getting that during the gameplay.
Edit- this is a 12/2023 mfg machine also
Has anyone made a tutorial on how to remove the demogorgon mech? I see key posts saying they did it but I’m not sure whay screws need to be removed from the top of the playfield. Does the left ramp need to be removed?

There is a tab connected to the bottom of the mech that has a screw holding it to the playfield. But it’s not needed. That’s why it’s recommended to leave that wood screw out. It eliminates the need to move all those plastics around that side of the demo to get to it. Loosening the ramp is all that is needed if I remember right.
Make sure the demo has plenty of slack in the wire harness that comes off the back of it. Also the demo should have plenty of give to it when the ball hits it. Likey have to take the demo out and loosen the set screws that control how wobbly it is. Mine hit too high as well and these two items fixed it for good.

Thanks Chuck. This was very helpful.
Just to clarify for lurkers, I removed the left ramp (4 screws) to get it out of the way. I removed the first screw on the back half of the ramp (closest to the top left ramp screw) so I could pull it up and get a bit of play. I then removed the top black screw from that black plastic above the back left of the mech. Lastly I removed the 2 screws on the floating plastic under the ramp/black plastic and momentarily removed the clear floating plastic. This probably not all necessary but it wasn't really as much as it sounds and this left me in a position where I was comfortable to pull back the ramp to get at the wood screw. I didn't bother putting the wood screw back honestly as the 2 on the bottom are seemingly all it needs. Just to clarify, 2 nuts under the playfield and a wood screw on top that's positioned on the back left of the mech under some plastic.
All in all not bad. I have been dreading this since I removed the front spacer and it didn't fix my problem. I've been playing the game at an absurd tilt to even hit the mouth. This was about 30 minutes and now the game plays a lot better.
Quoted from shlap:Anyone ever replace rubber #3? Looks like a complete b!#ch to get to.[quoted image]
Yes it is. did so and then forgot about center ones. Decided i was going to pass on those because i didnt want to mess with it again.
Basically have to take ramps off, then diverter for magnet, only after lifting playfield completely out of cabinet to get it out. Then long skinny screwdriver to take rear ramp out. its then a tight fit to get #3
If pro, might be a tad easier.

If it didn’t break, leave it.

Don’t do it, no one will see it and it is a nightmare! My OCD wouldn’t let it go, never again!
If of help to anyone else with a Demogorgon issue that was a bit different than the wire/gate described earlier. My 2023 ST came with Demogorgon shaking fine, but just outright stopped a few days ago. Did the coil test, did not fire. Checked with a multimeter and the coil itself seemed fine. Taking a look at the coil, the plunger was rubbing against the wall of the hole to the point of little to no movement, had to bend the bracket a bit to get it moving smoothly again and now working like it did.
Having a problem with rejects on the TK lock.
First two balls load up fine. Third ball seems to bounce/reject off the two ball stack more than half the time.
Softer shots seem to have a better chance to lock up versus harder shots. I have tried to lower /raise flipper power as well as the TK magnet lock magnet power to no avail.
Also, seem to be having no luck in adjusting the Demo. I am starting to think the new build Demo's have smaller mouth openings then the previous builds.

I believe it is bigger on my latest build pro.

Check the key posts from Diablo Rush-it will fix your TK issue….The demogorgon is likely rejecting your shots as it is angled too high. Remove the chin spacer and screw in (carefully) the adjustment screw at the rear of the sculp roughly an additional 1/4” or less
Anyone interested in an unused, in box Stranger Things topper? $600 shipped in the Cont US.
This is SOLD

Well used both of these ideas and "YES" !
The TK lock works 9 times out of 10. If I hit a real hard shot up the ramp it may bounce back. Lowered the power setting on the flippers a bit and seems good. Why does Stern set the flipper power so high in default?
Also making the Demo shots. Yes again!
This game has so many satisfying shots.
Thank you both for leading me quickly to the answers to tweeking these shots.
Have a weird issue where I hold the flipper to see game stats and then when I flip the other flipper to scroll through stats, it restarts the mode/action as if I'm playing again.
Did I change a setting or something?

Holding both flippers in lets you play jukebox mode or go into the wizard modes to try them.

This is during a game.

I'd go into switch test and make sure something else isn't activating when you hit the flipper button. For example, maybe the vibration of the flipper going up is triggering an improperly gapped switch (slingshot, pop?), and that makes the game think it needs to exit instant info. Just a guess.

I can try that, but it happens on both flippers.

Ya, it's ok.

Ya, it's almost like it's a setting that got messed up, I cannot cycle through stats during a game. I mean, its good for timing out a mode, but that's not normal.

I figured I follow up and say that it was indeed another switch being triggered. It was the 3rd pop bumper that had bent and was close enough to get bumped. I adjusted it and its all good now.
Thanks for the help!

No problem, glad you got it working and thanks for posting the result.
The projector power supply went out in my 2023 build premium a few weeks ago. I hooked up an external 12V PS to the service plug to troubleshoot and confirmed it was just a PS issue. I actually put it back together and used the external PS this way for a week or more while I got around to replacing the board.
I called Stern tech support and they got to me a new board in 2 days without charge. The replacement board (on right) has some adhesive material under that grey block to help dampen vibrations - which apparently caused mine to fail via separation. While I was in there I went ahead and illuminated the right apron plastic, moved the QR reader to the door, added purple haze UV rings, blue start button, and LE speakers/acrylic.

Thank you Chuck, this video is perfect.

Remember that’s a hack. Not intended. But it’s fun if you can get it to work.
Got some more time on my Stranger Things after being out of town for a bit. I just want to say what a neat and fun game this is.

Yes but it's missing a strip.

I agree. I'm horribly bad at mine but I enjoy it. I think it's such a good theme integration.

Wiz mods and Inscribed Sloutions are where I've bought coin door and speaker panel magnets from.
