Yep just play them, completion is optional.
Is that basically 3 cycles through the modes? I have made it through 2 cycles so far.

The last “cycle” is two half-cycles. So after Total Isolation 2, if you attempt both of the left side / season 1 modes that lights the S1 mini-wizard mode without any progression on the right side modes needed. Vice-versa for the season 2 mini-wizard mode.

there goes the theory that projectors are unavailable and there are none left in the entire world. Sell you game, sell your game! Suppliers must have got the surplus of the 5000 stern ordered last month to vault this game.
I’m not normally a mod guy because generally I find 3D printed mods look tacky for the most part
In saying this I’m feeling my Premium looks a little bare
What would the group recommend that looks good but not cheap and nasty?

Have you seen Medisinyl Mods laboratory set of mods? That's the obvious answer. It completely changes the character of the playfield into what it should have looked like all along.

Pretty sure this isn't available though right?
Or if it is there is a looooong wait list

I found it a bit bare as well and don't like 3d printed mods. I found some dicast cars to fill out mine

Probably my all-time favorite mod.
Quoted from Gutterghoul:The MEDISINYL is pretty dang good regardless of 3d print.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think it's resin cast from sculpts, and not 3D-printed (?)

That would make me feel better. Looking at the wait list though there are well over 300 waiting. There are only 766 registered owners across all 3 models on pinside. So half of all the owners are waiting for this mod?

Correct.

The Medisinyl STh Lab Set is all 3D-printed.

The only Resin cast mod I've made is the IJ PoA rails.
The type of details and precise fitment present in the Stranger Things set wouldn't be feasible with resin casting.
However, my mods are also not bare 3D prints. Every visible surface gets a lot of work to make them look much nicer than a bare 3D print. Nearly 15 hours of hands on work goes into each set (on top of ~40 hours of print time per set with the current settings). Work split between Marissa and I full time as often as possible, and one part time. Getting through them as quick as we can, but it is indeed a long wait.
If you don't feel comfortable, you can be removed from the list at any time.
Quoted from Medisinyl:… If you don't feel comfortable, you can be removed from the list at any time.
YES! Why don’t some of you please cancel your order so I can move up in line!
If you want to trade places, that would be OK too!
Hi to everyone here
Two times i have made a mistake and sold a NST Pro, but now i'm getting in a few weeks my third Pro and i'm happy about it. My medisinyl-mod is on the way
If someone from europe will downgrade from Premium to Pro, please let me know.
Some of my inserts have dropped very slightly, are they likely to get worse? I can feel the bump with my finger but it's not enough to affect ball travel. I'm assuming I'm SOL on getting a new playfield from Stern

SOL yes. Getting worse? Probably not a strong likely hood. I would cover them with Mylar and play on.
Just to be safe. Take pictures now. Send you your distro and check back on them in a couple thousand plays and see if they have gotten worse.

Thanks Chuck, I'm not the original owner so no distro. I'll have to see how many have dropped as I don't want to cover the whole playfield in mylar really. Good to hear they likely won't get worse though
A friend obtained a Stranger Things Pro last year with low plays, and when I went to look at it, one of the orange mode inserts (Where's Barb) had sunk all the way to the bottom of the routed pocket, so watch out if you think you have sinking inserts.
You might have to go below the playfield, remove the light boards, heat the insert up to soften any remaining glue (or maybe not as there seems to be a lack of glue), then use a flat topped wooden dowel or some other object, to push the insert level. A lot of time when I do this I clamp a flat metal block to the playfield with a long reach "C" clamp that I bought just for playfield repair use to ensure I can't over push the insert past the playfield surface. After I get the inserts back to where they're supposed to be, I lock them in place with a syringe filled with water thin super glue. This method has worked for me, but as always, your mileage may vary.
Please do report this to Stern if you can. I don't know what they're using for glue over the past few years, or what problems they may have adequately applying the correct amount of glue required, but I do see inserts sinking, raising, and on one occasion - just lifting and completely falling out, way more than I'd like to see.
Edit: Be aware that I do have a friend who is the utmost knowledgeable person when it comes to pin repair, who says that if your insert completely pops out, you should never use super glue to secure it (as it is inflexible and may crack, and also can deteriorate inserts, and if you get it on top of the playfield it's problematic to nearly impossible to get off) and he dictates that you should use Goop instead. Goop is more flexible, gap filling, and if you get it on top of the playfield it just rubs off. Also, to resort to not damaging your playfield, leveling by hand is recommended with something like a small granite block block from an old countertop instead of clamping an object to the top of the playfield, where if you over clamp, you could cause a whole 'nother problem.

Ime, there can be some initial movement, but once they move, they stay.
The advice above is sound too if you’re so inclined. Maybe line the underside of the insert with some super glue to make sure it doesn’t move more.
Well, I usually move pins pretty fast in and out of my home...BUT, I bought a routed ST Premium from a guy in TX and shipped it out here to CA. I spent about 8 solid hours cleaning it up, (there were dead spiders and live worms and snails in it!) repairing it, and another untold hours installing UV kit and mods. I just wanted one so badly and had to take the discounts as I could get them. Mine has over 20,000 plays on it. It looks and plays perfect now! Some of the repairs and dialing in were a bitch! I toy with the idea of selling, but really I don't think there is any way it can go after the hell I went through to get it up to snuff. So the past few days I have been going back and forth on the Pin Stadiums Things Edition. Finally tonight I was like...you know you're gonna buy it so just pull the trigger already. Done. Can't wait. $441 shipped is a LOT of dough to spend. Will it really light up the ramps like a glow habitrail? All i know is the UV lighting is like nothing I've ever seen before in pinball and this is supposed to make it even better and illuminate the entire playfield. Is it worth $441??? Who knows. All I know is I've been eying these pin stadiums for a year or two now and have to take the discount tpf23 whether I need to or not at this point.

I assume after 20,000 plays the projector is fine? It seems the concerns over them lasting and being unavailable were unfounded if so
I’m also curious as to how a machine that is relatively new had live worms and snails in it? Was the location it was routed on a garden section of Home Depot?

Pretty common, especially if routed.

Super common… but very disappointing
How I fixed mine…
1 Sand down the area with 2000 and 3000 grit try to get rid of the bubble/chips if you can. Be very careful not to sand the actual art
2 use automotive clear coat and do your best to level it out
3 resand with 2000 then 3000 sand paper the using buffing compound for shine
4 may have to repeat 3 and 4 a couple of times
5 cut out a “j-shaped” piece of Mylar to protect around the saucer
Btw… for everyone who *doesn’t* have chips around the saucer…. I’d put down a j-shaped piece of Mylar asap
Quoted from Bmanpin:Does anyone make anything that is custom fit for this area for protection?
We are all waiting for a cliffy
Quoted from NC_Pin:We are all waiting for a cliffy
It would take a huge Cliffy to prevent the kind of chip Borntolose has in his playfield. I’m going to dial down the eject power on mine, probably the only way to prevent it. But it would still be nice to have a Cliffy to protect that saucer area.
You can see behind the chip there are black marks from the ball. I think a generously sized square of mylar would've been enough, if caught in time (ie once you start seeing marks)
Quoted from Borntolose:Just cleaning the playfield and noticed this

How many plays are on this machine? It looks like the clear is also chipping around the hole.

I recently re-did mine with two fresh layers of mylar after noticing two very small spots of damage that made it thru my mylar.
Within 10 games after this, I had the spot on the bottom of the saucer get worse. Surely just coincidence / timing, but suffice it to say the ball can punish the edges of the saucer with mylar. (Though mylar should help)
I do have my flipper power down some as well.

oh wow... I was hoping the mylar was a permanent fix.
