PSA: The 3D start buttons that SkyKing2301 makes are *chef's kiss*. We got a set for all the machines we have that he currently makes them for (all but BKSOR at the moment), and here is how the STh one looks installed w/ the purple backing:

Yes, looks like this maybe the case, my distributor has a zoom meeting on Thursday for the new Stern game and about the price increases.

Kinda sux, but also kinda cool. You will have a great game already with new achievements to earn/shoot for.

Just a heads up for everyone in on a Stranger Things, looks like they will be at the new Stern price
The £30 Sign I got which i put a bracket on to make a topper had a usb plug for the lights.
I managed to find a 12v to 5v usb board on Amazon for £6 delivered and simply wired a simple plug and cable from the power board to this board, put some Velcro on and placed it in the backbox, fed the cable from topper through the designated topper hole and plugged in !
Also added dougs speaker lights and added a magnetic speaker panel.
UV kit arriving any day now which I’m going to transfer onto a metal apron

Thanks, got it From EBay
Got the UV kit installed today. It's hard to find those bottom three connectors in step 24, but they are hidden in the wire nest next to where the board is mounted. I haven't played the game in a few weeks and the first game had voices replaced with really loud static. I powered the game off and then back on and it seems normal now. The kit is well worth it.
Quoted from chubtoad13:Can you buy a spare set of plastics with the UV paint without buying another UV kit?
No.
It seems I have an error. It’s already cleared up but just weird.
This is only my second stern and first problem with one. I got a “check switch #17 trough 4”alert today. My first thought is something wrong at the trough? Hadn’t noticed anything unusual during gameplay. It seemed to go away after I did a trough test. Is it just a space in between the balls? Maybe the opto wasn’t seeing a ball or something?
I just got my UV kit in, hopefully I didn’t mess something up haha.

It was nice seeing these pictures. I wasn't sure how big the speaker holes were that are cut in the magnet speaker panel covers. Though, I expect that may vary from design to design. Mando looks like they may be smaller.
Quoted from chuckwurt:What kind of balls are you using?
Not 100%
I think they are Titan super shiny that the previous owner installed. He only had 94 games so I didn’t replace them. I’m using the same in my AIQ.

Put standard shiny balls in and see if that fixes things.
Stranger Things doesn’t exist for me right now. I’m not playing it again until I get my UV kit. Tough love.

There is a run of Pros slated for November, for now. They keep getting pushed back.

Just checking this link days late, but WTF? That listing is a distributor selling those for $170 over MSRP. Ridiculous.
A couple uv kits for sale now in the marketplace, not too crazy on price…

If it’s November then there won’t be a single UV kit left.

Yea, wasn't promoting the seller, just noting that the kits were starting to hit the streets. Reputable distributors have them in-stock and aren't trying to bend buyers over. Have seen a few Pinsiders trying to get $375-450 for the kits, which is gross. ZMeny even called one out on his last podcast.
Quoted from aztarac:ZMeny even called one out on his last podcast.
My UV kit came from Flip N Out in the last week or two. I was charged MSRP and no more. I have a lot of confidence in Zach and Flip N Out.
Honestly $350 isn’t that much of a markup for what it ads to the game. I would be all over it if I was in need. Wouldn’t rely on distros as they tend to tell you what you want to hear. Supply and demand.
I listed this several months back. I am liking St. Things enough I would consider upgrading to a premium. I thought I had a trade lined up for my loaded Tron pro but the guy kept dragging his feet and flaked on me.
The Tron is HUO and listed for trade in the marketplace if you want to check it out.Trons in this condition are as rare as St. Things premiums these days. If anyone is interested and wants ro discuss a possible trade, send me a PM.
I am currently working through the pre-order list for the Black Diamond Mod.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/black-diamond-stranger-things-premium-le-canvas-screen-bulk-order/page/3
If you are interested, just send a PM to me. I don't think I'll do a second run anytime soon.
Greeting,
Benjamin

I like the Arcade sign too but shouldn't it go on the side where the Season 2 inserts/modes sit?
Should the Mystery/Extra Ball shot progress the Walkie Talkie?
Both my left ramp and the shot to the right of it award a Walkie Talkie. I’m not sure if that’s by design or if I should start trouble shooting.

Thanks for the quick response! I read the beginning of that write up, and it doesn’t mention Collect Communicator on that shot like it does for the ramp.
Left ramp - Feeds the left inlane. A post can hold balls here at certain times during play. On the Premium / LE, this is where the ball is magnetically levitated for a Telekinesis Multiball lock. Has an RGB arrow. Collects Communicators.
Inner Left “mystery” Lane - Deadend target lane between the L ramp and the Upside Down drops bank. Ends in a standup target, which feeds under the L ramp to an up-post, and eventually down the L orbit. When lit, collects Mystery, Demodog Attack, and Extra Ball. Has an RGB arrow.
I have a question about the TK lock.
Mine will generally only lock the ball on the backboard with a faster shot. When it’s not clean the diverter will pop up and the ball will then be rejected and roll back down the ramp.
Is there a way to delay the diverter slightly so I have a better chance of it locking properly?

See the section on starting modes. It’s covered there. All the rules of the game are covered. Read the rest of the rules.

Move the ramp optos further up the ramp.

??? There is only 1 hole for opto’s on the ramp unless I’m missing what you’re saying
Quoted from Ive:My Pro has mirror blades fitted by previous owner . I like them. I think it maybe boosts the UV effect ….. seeing that posters on my wall even glow when it kicks in
Got a pic or perhaps a video on YouTube with your mirror blades? I’m leaning towards ordering some, instead of art blades for this pin. I was thinking they would help compliment the UV too.

Optos work through plastic.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Optos work through plastic.
Oh right! Never tried that. Why drill the holes then lol
Quoted from allsportdvd:Oh right! Never tried that. Why drill the holes then lol
If the plastic gets dirty it can cause issues. Some WPC games like whitewater can have some phantom Opto registrations with dirt on the ramps. If they are clean, no problems.

A few phone pics taken in last months ... may help yr decision. The last pic it has alternative translite.

Anyone know if they are going to make any more Premiums? They seem to be in much greater demand than the Pro, so another production line of Pros has me scratching my head on this.
