I am so excited about this game. I can't wait!
Quoted from coasterguy:Page 165
Just remove the 2 spacers. Then when you tighten the screws leave some space and you would have both
Normal shots made and demo movement still.
I tried. For three hours using every fix in this thread. I think mine was extra relaxed. I’m fine with where I’m at though because making that shot just makes this game so much better. Played 4 games and hit it 3 or 4 times which was more than I had total in a couple months of play.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:I am so excited about this game. I can't wait!
You should be because it’s a fantastic game.
Quoted from MJK-911:With now knowing all these issues with this game, would you still purchase one? My Premium arrives next week, praying it’s not more trouble than its worth!!
It’s 100% worth it. It’s pinball, they all need tweaks and fine tuning some more than others. And it seems the more innovative they become the more the glass comes off for attention. There’s a good chance your game will be perfect out of the box, if not this is one of the better club threads on Pinside for help.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Why was the topper release delayed so much? Poor initial reaction to the game and sales?
They can’t release it or even promotional materials without explicit sign off and consent from Netflix for each thing.
Netflix doesn’t give consent/sign off until their lawyers and several other departments review and sign off.
$666 and not a penny more.
Edit: I see the logic of having 11 in there somewhere. So, $666.11. The battle for Hawkins summed up in one topper price.

Damn that took forever. Zeppelin topper came out for preorder soon after game went up for preorder and shipped.
Quoted from RobT:Finally officially joined the club! Pin looks so much better in person. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Congrats! I got a pro and still love it. Favorite pin in my collection for the family, at least till Elvira arrives.

Star Wars took like 4 years.
Quoted from KJS:Finished my pf swap...just a little opto issue to fix. Really happy with it now!

I'd love to be able to buy that translite!
Dude! That looks incredible all around. Nice work! Some of you guys blow my mind with how you can customize a machine.
Quoted from theadicts77:Well, I like the topper. Gonna order it depending on the price.
Better bend over and grab your ankles. No moving parts and all flat plastic...it'll be at least $699.
And I like it, too!
I will wait until stern confirms price, but Flip n out just told me it’s 649 plus shipping. I’ll count every guess before my video post.
I like it, something different and looks like Demogorgons from the disco pinball dimension!
Reserved one at my distributor, if import taxes are gone price should be around 820 Euro here in Germany.
I like the topper, at the old topper prices of $399. I also like the Jurassic Park and Avengers toppers, just not at the prices Stern charges now. I also like keeping money in the bank, so it all works out.
Topper price as is will be $649. After shipments start it will be announced that for $279 you can change out all of the plastic and the LEDs and have it UV-enabled. So really $928.
Topper is different. Not BKsor caliber....Also waiting for price from my distributor. He Said trying to reach out to Stern for confirmed price. I will probably order it.
My associate just got a pro and tried adding one of his Pinstadium sets that he already had.
The primary goal is for the UV effect in the Upside Down, but since it's hooked into the GI, it turns off when that mode starts.
Is there a way to get it to turn on during that mode or is the only real option to get the special Things Edition Pinstadium kit or Stern kit?
Thanks!

Just get the Stern Kit. You get new plastics and a new apron.

There is a setting to turn on if you have UV kit, just not sure if that works with pin stadiums.

The UV flashers need to be connected to one of the UV GI bulbs. Just follow the instructions on their site. It applies to regular version pinstadiums. However, the "UV" on the regular pinstadiums don't light up the UV ink on the pf. I tried. You would need to get the special version or just buy the Stern kit.

All that does is completely turn off the white GI
I don't think it matters what they put out as a topper. Every owner's thread is the same. Topper comes out, pinsiders get all up in arms about how disappointed they are and how it's way too expensive for what it is. Always.
Stern puts out standard shaped toppers with blinking lights for most of their games with a few exceptions (EHOH, BKSOR). They are all priced similarly too. It's not like it's a total surprise... And while most owners love their STh (I know I do), let's face it, it's not the most popular offering out there. There's a bunch sitting in distros warehouses. They aren't selling well. At least we have a topper for those who like them!
Stern could put a friggin demodog that comes out of the topper and jumps on the pf glass and folks would still complain.. "whaddya mean it doesn't REALLY attack players?"
Topper fans will buy, as usual. Ppl that wouldn't normally buy a topper won't, as usual.
Personally I like that they went with something we hadn't seen yet - the infinity lighting. It's appropriate for the theme. Seeing into another dimension.
I ordered the new topper but wish they put figures inside instead of plexi pics. Hope it looks better in person. I don’t know yet.
Quoted from playtwowin:I will reluctantly be buying it but I'm not happy.
This should be pinside’s motto.
The only thing that doesn't make sense is the cartoon Demogorgons. I dont dislike it, it's just not the same type of art as the rest of the machine.
This topper is way more interesting than both turtles and Led Zeppelin and cheaper than both. I ordered one (i still think its too expensive) but so is everything pinball related.

that looks incredible! really love what you have done to it...
where do I buy that trans lite?
I mentioned about UV lighting, do I win anything Chuck??
The demagorgans look like they were made by laseriffic. Not a fan. Too cartoony for a pin with photorealistic artwork. Don’t hate it but not thrilled.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:I mentioned about UV lighting, do I win anything Chuck??
It has UV lighting in it? I didn’t see any. Plus that wasn’t the contest.

I agree...great concept, but WTF were they thinking with that art style? It took me awhile to figure out what I was even looking at. It doesn't "read well" at all, and looks out of place with the rest of the art. Very strange decision.
