Good to know, I have sent several emails and a couple videos when I could get my teenage daughter to not be on TikTok or "doing homework" online. Hopefully we see fixes over time.

I've been corresponding with Stern Support and sending all of the details on the issues I am seeing. It's been treated as hardware to this point and they are out of ideas so my issues are currently in engineering and support is awaiting a response. They have a ton of data from me so here's hoping they find the code bugs or hardware issues with my machine.

I really hope they integrate more. At first I wasn’t sure if my shaker was even working when I tested it after putting it in. Man I can’t wait for Christmas to play it. Still haven’t given in to giving the family it early before Christmas Day.

Was able to purchase the stern shooter rod from gameroom goodies. Nearly everyone else appears to be sold out, even stern. I did see a marked up one on ebay. Screw that. It looks very cool. Will post pics when installed.

Has Lonnie ever done heavy shaker motor effects in his games? I own a Guardians as well and that one hardly uses it as well. Not sure if this is unusual for Lonnie or what.

Pinball Life has the shooter rod--I picked one up a couple weeks ago. They are not cheap anywhere but what a cool ad on. I just thought it would stay lit the whole time but it's game integrated. Looks awesome--especially playing in the dark.

Yeah, Lonnie usually does some good stuff with shakers. Avengers and Star Trek are two off the top of my head with good effects.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is still coming, along with any clean-up, score balance/tweaks and extra lightshows, etc that they might have planned. That's the way to do it...get the big stuff, modes, features, etc done, than get the icing on the cake once that is all done. They have nailed it on damn near everything so far, so hopefully they will top it all off nicely yet. I think this is Lonnie's best work by far.

I think it's partially right. You do want to reduce the spacer height for the ones that go into the bushings. You shouldn't have to lean the demo forward at all though. Also remove the spacer on the one way gate under the demogorgon. The one that stops it from coming forward. It's not needed. I would also recommend clearing up the flashing inside the mouth.

Stranger Things in hammertone disco fuchsia powdercoat. Goes between dark, purple and pink depending on the light. I’m really happy with it.

Did anyone adjust their sling power? If yes to what value? Sometimes they feel too powerful and "airball" the ball over the opposite slingshot directly into the outlane.

Hey fellows, I have two issues that just occurred several days ago on my machine >>>

The first is a problem w/ the optic sensor detecting the ball when it hits the demogorgon. The sensor suddenly became sporadic when registering hits on the demogorgon. I cleaned the sensor w/ alcohol then repositioned the plastic guard many times w/ the same results. Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, the ramp has seized up three times in the past two days. When starting a game the ramp should go automatically up, but it stays in the down position. The only way to free the ramp to move it up & down, is to lift the playfield then reposition the plastic arm that maneuvers the ramp. The plastic arm moves too much then becomes stuck in the 12 O' Clock position.

Any thoughts?

Just installed mirror blades and ordered Joyce’s Christmas light mod thingy. That should about do it for mods.

I never liked the stock Pro translite, so I ordered the Season 2 alternate version two weeks ago from Retro Refurbs. It shipped today from Slovenia, so I expect it to arrive roughly when we land on the moon again.

I like the look of the mirror blades.

Mirror blades look nice but glad I went with the official art blades. For me ST looks a bit better darker without all the light reflection from the mirrors. Can’t wait for Christmas to finally play mine.

The Sideblades is my favorite, looks very very nice in the Maschine. Im so happy with this

I have the pure forest multi/color ones--awesome look. My favorites.

I usually prefer the look of mirror blades to the art skins. I have the Stern art blades on BKSOR, but all other have mirrors. To me, the playfield feels more open and I like bright games.

Stranger Things was really dark to me, but there were also a few clear LEDs that were blinding (under the ramps, shooter lane). I added frosted dome LEDs to those areas, spotlights on the slings and mirror blades. I know others complain about how bright Stern games can be, but to me, I prefer a bright (but not blinding) game.

I hate to say this, but I think at this point we may never see a topper. With LZ's topper being announced concurrently with the game and not even a rumor of an STh topper release, I think Stern has basically abandoned anything else going forward with this game. I know chuckwurt doesn't care, but I was kind of psyched for a topper.

They did the same thing with Avengers IQ too. Seems to be their new marketing strategy, to make an “accessories” trailer soon after the game is announced.

The thing that doesn’t make sense is that every Stern release since they moved to Spike has had a topper made for it, even the titles that bombed like BKSOR (great topper btw), so it would be odd to never have one for STh. Plus the fact that they keep making light show updates for it with the last few code updates. It took a long time for the Star Wars topper to be announced/released, so I haven’t given up hope yet.

But SW sold much better than STh, I think. I'm thinking it may be a decision based on numbers of units sold, and the possibility of not selling enough toppers to the people that actually have STh.

Agree with you, but then explain Black Knight? Sales couldn’t have been better than Stranger Things. I’m not saying it will definitely happen, but I have some hope. I wonder though if this topper was being designed as a motorized one, with a higher price, and then I could see the concern. But they sold out of the BK toppers right? I mean few things are hotter right now than toppers. It almost seems like they could make up whatever price they want and sell out. Almost.

Munsters too. One of the better toppers and that machine never even got a good code update. I can tell you there are more stranger things machines around at bars than munsters.

I went with the art blades as well. My pin has been sitting in the basement in its original box for the last week. It's wrapped in Christmas paper for the family and I have UV kit, art blades, and a few other tasteful mods to add. It's killing me not opening it.

Glad I am not the only one waiting anxiously for Christmas. My pro was a demo unit and shipped in a Turtles box. I opened it and already installed the art blades(look awesome), UV kit, demogorgon ramp decal, shaker motor, lockdown bar accent badge and speaker lights from cointaker. Going to put in ball shooter lane protector today.

Didn’t put in the new updated ramp for it because no issues with the demogorgon shot. I learned quickly if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Now can’t wait for Elvira to get done next year and of course for Christmas to play Stranger Things. Underrated game in my opinion.

Was going to get Attack From Mars, but my daughters felt ST was better as did I. Wife loved both and gave me the green light to get ST. The UV kit definitely was worth it also but the shaker is under utilized for me, at least for the few times a played it to make sure it works.

Was initially regretting buying ST when Led Zeppelin was announced, but now that I saw it I am still glad I bought ST and my Elvira deposit is also going nowhere.

Where did you get a lockdown bar accent badge? I have not seen one for this game.

I had the same issue. Put in stranger things and it doesn’t come up when you search it. It comes up when I did a google search.

I am really shocked how good Elvira is. It definitely didn’t look that great by looking at it. I was really surprised how satisfying the shots were and how many there are.

I really wanted Led Zeppelin to be something special but still more excited to bring in Stranger Things in the house for Christmas. The demogorgon shot is still so awesome hitting it in the mouth.

I haven’t seen the show and were people disappointed in it because they were/are big fans of the show? Is that why it was not well received? I love the game and have not seen one episode or even one clip other than what’s on the game.

Software at launch was very basic. It has come a long way in the last year. I think a lot of people still hating on the game only played early versions of it. Also include the mechanical issues and the initial experience wasn't that great.

These days people make up their minds on something based on a limited experience and give no opportunity to improve. It's such an ambitious technological game (projector, TK, UV) that there were bound to be issues. I have a fully modded out premium that is pretty dialed in outside of some shots not registering sometimes or registering wrong. The game is still a blast to play. The speed is unbelievable--when I go to play other games it's like I am playing in slow motion. It is unlike anything else available.

For me it’s very similar to AFM for obvious reasons of course. But I feel ST was much more fun and keeps me coming back to want to play one more game.

My daughters and I were just bored with AFM. We played a special edition remake. When they first played it at a different location they loved it, and then they played ST and they preferred it way more.

We love the artwork on AFM but just felt ST was more fun and I saved over 2 grand. I feel AFM would have looked great next to my Monster Bash remake, but I think I would have had buyers remorse for sure.
