Hello,

I have an issue on an AFM pinball. When the strobe is being fired, some solenoids and driven lamps are also fired.

You can see a video here :

(you can hear solenoids with sound up).

What has been done so far :
- All Capacitors were changed on the strobe lamp PCB assembly
- No flux residue on the strobe lamp PCB assembly
- Ground straps have been verified
- U3 and U11 (ULN 2803) were changed on the driver (thanks to Martin from pinbits for pointing that)
- To try to isolate the problem, I replaced the driver Pcb assembly with another driver from WPC95 game (NBA Fastbreak) => Always the same problem.

Any clue ?

Thanks for helping !

Make sure that the diodes on the strobe board are orented in the correct direction. Someone else had an issue a while back where one of them was reversed and it was causing other things to go a little haywire.

Thanks for your reply. I've just changed all the diodes on the strobe board, and verified they were in the correct direction. Issue is still here ...

If you disconnect the IDC connector on the strobe board, does the problem still happen?

I finally found ... The problem was not happening when the strobe was disconnected.
The issue was a bare wire between the strobe board and the strobe ...

Thanks Foreflow for your help !
