I am finishing a Gorgar and have a strange issue with displays. The unused segments all show 0. For example, 1000 points will display as 001000. Also all 4 players show all 0's as soon as you start a game. I am clueless as to where to start looking at this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I should add that I have a replacement LED display in it now. The seller said maybe look at the blanking signal, but I am not sure what it should look like. It rapid pulses on a probe. I also think this problem was on the original displays as well but this game is new to me.

Thanks for any input.

That's factory behavior. Slightly odd to not blank the leading zeroes vs. other makers, but that's the way williams did it until system 7.

Maybe try another 5101 or NVRAM in its place if the game still has batteries. Hopefully the 5101 is already in an IC socket.

That's not going to overcome programming.... system 3-6 games just have all zeroes on the displays, and it doesn't blank the leading zeroes. Nothing to do with the ram.

Good info.

Guess I never paid attention that closely before, especially on player 1 display on a single player game. I was always used to players 2, 3, and 4 showing zeros even with one player games.
