Strange Bally D&D playfield GI and Magic-Save issue (blowing fuses)

Every time I engage either of the magic save solenoids, they blow the 1 amp under playfield fuse. Doesn't matter if I disconnect either of the 2 solenoids, still blows the fuse once engaged. Only blows the fuse after about 2 seconds. Then, my playfield GI is blowing the 15a fuse on the driver board. The GI is on when I power the game on, but as soon as I start a game and the ball eject solenoid fires, the fuse blows for the GI. Are these related? Where should I start to look?
