That was the other major feedback I got after our first full year. In my league, there are ~20 players. The fight for the podium was between the top 8 players, and there was a pretty sharp drop in standing points after that. I wanted to make it fun for everyone, so we had a vote. The top 8 from last year are the current A division, everyone else (returning or new) are the B division. There will be trophies for first/second/third in A, and B division winner and runner up. Realistically, that puts every single active member in the hunt for a trophy if they wish to have that as a goal.

Gotta have a B division....no point without it.

Or just play as one division during the regular season and split into A and B for the playoffs.

Yep that's what I meant. For sure you want the B players to have the opportunity of making their way up to A, that's the fun. And of course you can exclude A players from B finals.
