Was there any follow up on this?
Quoted from mikeflan:They did steal a pretty valuable antique bed, some tools, and (strange) all the chain link gates around the backyard. Scrap metal I guess. That why I'm afraid they will scrap the game for copper or something stupid along those lines
Was there anything else of value that was passed over?
If they were really scrappers, wouldn't have they ripped the copper wires out of your walls? That would be much more profitable than stealing your chain link gates. Plus they would be hidden inside whereas these thieves were stealing stuff outside where they could be caught.
Quoted from radium:I keep mine in iCloud next to my nude selfies
Are you the naked guy in the photos with Kate Upton?
Quoted from pezpunk:why are you posting pictures of the OP's home
Read the thread instead of jumping to conclusions and throwing out wild accusations.
There is the CL ad that people think is of the stolen pinball machine. In the add it clearly states that he wants to sell quickly as he is MOVING. Individuals used the map on the CL ad to find a house for sale on that street.
Quoted from pezpunk:oh is that the address from the craigslist ad? it wasn't clear. never mind
Quoted from Skyemont:Ad states that he is moving
Yes, he was
Quoted from fiberdude120:I leave my corvettes and my cobra alone in a garage by themselves. I don't expect them to be gone when I get home.
Quoted from Matt_Rasmussen:Sooo...you don't see a difference there?
No, I don't. Isn't it easier to steal a car than an awkward pinball machine? You just jimmy the door open, hot wire it and you are gone. Way easier than a pin.
I do like the idea of going to the local news.
Quoted from Matt_Rasmussen:I'm sure everyone knows how to disable an alarm system, jimmy a lock, hotwire a car and drive away in a 100,000 car without anyone noticing. On the other hand, a person is moving, has been hauling stuff probably for a couple days... truck pulls up and a guy loads something else, no one would notice anything. No difference? No, not at all.
Feel free to continue to blame the victim then. Bolt down everything your garage folks or if it is stolen it is your fault!
My dad (and every other farmer) leaves expensive farm equipment sitting out in the field overnight all alone. Miles from anyone. What would you suggest they do so it isn't their fault if it gets stolen?
Quoted from Kerry_Richard:I feel that you
Would get the fair market value at the time of the loss
What is their definition of "fair market value"? If one beater BBB sold for $4000, is that FMV to them? Or is it an average selling price. Definition with big companies can be very tricky. They often times do not mean what you think they mean.

Excellent example. Beef labeled "grass fed only". You'd think they only ate grass until they were butchered...wrong!!
Quoted from mikeflan:Not sure how all this will affect my premiums
I am curious how this will affect your premiums as well.
