I just wanted to say, that as someone who has never purchased stocks, but has always been interested in eventually getting into it, this seems like a very exciting time. It's been fun to follow along with this thread. For all you seasoned stock traders, can you recommend certain ones/types to watch? Or is that like asking a poker player to show his hand? lol I don't think its quite time for me to buy in yet (I was originally thinking several months from now) but I could easily be wrong.

Anyone here have a favorite penny stock they’re taking a gamble on? I’m mostly looking to jump into the market soon with some O&G penny stocks, but am interested in throwing money at other penny stocks for fun if there’s a Somewhat logical reason behind it.

Quoted from PDX-Mike:

Anybody see the wild ride with LTRPB today? Was up well over 2000% from opening today at one point.

That’s insane! How does something like this even happen?

I had dm.v in my stocks to watch this morning. I saw it at .09, but couldn’t buy at that time (was out working). Turned around at noon to see it .19. That one hurt to miss out on

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Any of you stock ninjas around here have a recommendation? Sit on the USO I have, or buy another 200 shares?
I know it’s peanuts to some of you guys, but you have to start somewhere.

I'm definitely no stock ninja, I'm probably greener than you haha. But I do plan on jumping in on oil soon too, albeit with Canadian oil companies. The big million dollar question is do we hold out until all the tankers are full and oil drops even lower, or do we buy in around now with the assumption help will likely come to the industry before it gets much worse. I don't have a crystal ball to tell, so I will likely mess up my jump in time haha. But it sure is interesting to watch from the sidelines for now.

I just sold my stocks in Canadian oil companies. Made a very small profit, but I was ok cashing out for such a small return, knowing the storage issue is likely going to become a big issue very issue soon.
Or am I blowing it out of proportion?

Apparently I shouldn't have sold on oil yesterday.
I still believe that we will continue to climb to maxing storage levels as the next few weeks go by.
But if they keep offering hopeful treatment news at opportune times, maybe the storage issue won't matter. Who knows haha.

Quoted from ReplayRyan:

Quite a drop at the end of trading today.

I saw that too. Oxy had a decent drop in a short span. Any idea what the drop was from? I thought that with the American Petrolum Institute report coming out later today, and likely to be a positive one, that oil/gas stocks would have risen near the end.
