Quoted from kvan99:

I bet Alphabet will blow out the numbers again. Have you seen the amount of adverts on YouTube..freaking out of control

Actually, I pay for YouTube premium. No ads and you can download for offline watching. It’s worth it for me. I’m happy to know they still pay the content creators for the videos I watch. Even tho I don’t see ads they pay the creators from my subscription money what they would have got from the ads.

Here's a quick and dirty guess: The casinos will be the first beneficiary because they got hammered by Delta. Follow the advice of the guys on here and buy the ones with the least Chinese exposure...MGM, CZR and Wynn. Disney and the hotels should also benefit. Lastly the cruise lines and airlines...Delta and UAL are both better than AAL..because of the debt level of American Airlines.

Quoted from NicoVolta:

Very, very likely will be zero due to how high the following six-month inflation rate is. Still, nearly 4% guaranteed free of state tax isn’t too shabby for an 11-month piggy bank.

No advantage for those in no state income ta

Be aware that they are merging with MGM Growth Properties. The debt levels could affect the surviving entity share price.

Thanks for the posts and while I agree with the trends overall I think short term for next two weeks may skew down a bit (everyone please do your own due diligence). For example SPY has gone up by 15 or so points in the last 2 weeks and from chart reviews this time of year it might go down the next two weeks 15 or so points.
And maybe not because overall perception is that things are better. I base this more on markets cyclical nature and I have been wrong before

I still am waiting for the big take off to be in early November - at least until December debt ceiling talks resume and maybe the take off may be a week or two early starting next week.

I bought some puts late in the day on Friday and I may either lose a little money or make a little Monday morning . Best to all of you and your trades.

The CNBC report has some good points about inflation peaking....CPI was a bit higher but PPI was a bit lower than expected, translation PPI is the producer's price so if it came in lower it means they didn't have to jack up prices higher again to keep their margins. so you can deduce that prices for them is stabilizing.

I meant to buy more when it dipped to the low 40's. sort of kicking myself now.

Yo Ice thanks for the energy tips. Love me some HAL, almost doubled my position. Up again today.

#15015 38 days ago

DOCN was up to $94. I just need it to hit $103.

Peaking, when? - my business is still getting weekly price increases from various vendors

Quoted from BMore-Pinball:

The numbers are backward looking. Also the report is a macro take on the whole of the economy not focused of every individual sector, it could just be that your sector is more sensitive to backed up supply chain or a particular commodity.

On other fronts I'm going sell half of BABA and let the other half ride.

How is inflation defined? I think the ever increasing prices have to do with lack of supply, not any monetary policy. Are supply chain issues considered inflation?

If the PayPal rumor holds true, boy don’t they (and me) feel dumb for rejecting Microsoft earlier in the year.

Lol...Paypal is about to find itself a future tax write-off.

Ice is surely happy with today’s activity. MAC, APPL and PINS very much trending in the good direction.

Pretty sure he was buying it way below that. I have some PINS that I bought after he had been hyping it for a long time and even my late entry is in profit right now.

What's profit?

#15028 37 days ago

It’s that thing you get when you don’t buy weed stocks or pins in the 80s

Ha ha ha!

#15030 37 days ago
Quoted from iceman44:

PINS Pinterest up on Snapchat report, SNAP up 30%, PINS is the much better business, balance sheet, profitability wise and growth opportunity fwiw. PINS reports on May 5th. Should be interesting to see what happens.

PINS has been good to me for a LONG TIME. Part of me hopes sale doesn’t go through. 454 million MAU’s worldwide. Had to give up Slack to CRM and that worked out great for CRM

#15031 37 days ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Well I bought a bunch at $110 for the long term
PINS is my largest holding currently
SE and TTD are next. TTD gets in the buy range for me at $415-430
SE $125-130 ish
Should have added to Apple at the open but I was too busy following The DR disaster. Jk
Might get that opportunity again
Money is just rotating sectors right now. Tech is still the place to be heading into the 4th qtr
Especially after this recent drift down
Of course SPG and MAC, which got thrown out today will bounce back big on holiday season and the vaccine I think
CCL a bit later, 1st qtr when vaccine is readily available across the world
ACC and VICI are two more REITS I like
I like a barbell approach right now with TECH and in the ditch with Tech over weighted.
SGEN, CRSP and the etf ARK.G in biotech, genomics and health care

SE, TTD, SPG and MAC not too shabby either

It’s been a GREAT run since Sept 20 on Energy and now Tech and PINS bounce back. +29.2%. My avg cost basis is in the 20’s

MSFT $80, PYPL $70 offer.

Hope you guys are kicking ass!!!

Of the 791 posts I’ve made in this topic over the past 4 yrs I can guarantee you it’s not been a winning call 100% of the time.

My Paypal stock tanked 4.5% today because of the news, although I'm still up on it.

Who's buying DWAC today? Up 89% as we speak!

Looked at that earlier this morning however thought it had already run up a lot. Then it went from 17 to 24! Not getting in now!

#15036 36 days ago

Is that the platform that already got hacked and shut down? Seems like it will be a bit of a roller coaster.

#15037 36 days ago

What is everyone getting into lately? Ice's tips on MAC and other stuff really panned out well!

#15038 36 days ago

Now DWAC has been halted???

#15039 36 days ago

195%. Wowsers. Man when people ask me what superpower I would want? See 1-2 days into the future. I’d be retired

That stock looks nuts, people are buying it for political reasons and FOMO, up 388% today... buying in now seems very risky.

Let's be real, this is not just conservative retail investors buying. You have institutional buying with the number of shares traded. Not saying this is a good or bad stock, and do not own.

Yeah, also Wall Streets Bets, I popped over there and it's definitely getting MEME hype.

Is PayPal a buy now that it's at $245.00.

#15044 36 days ago

Ouchie SNAP. Glad I bought at $11 but damn still hurts. That's a sign the market is fucked up. When a long term play, makes no money, misses earnings and drops 50%.

#15045 36 days ago
Quoted from hank35:

Maybe not yet, it fell another -5.87% today, it may go lower tomorrow. I bought it at $253 back in March, so I'm now in the red with it for the first time. Bummer for me, but there is going to be a good buy in point fairly soon.

DWAC from $10 to $45 for a 357% 1 day gain. Guessing tomorrow is gonna be the ride back down?

Will be interesting... More interesting is after market it got up to $74.4, then finished right around $65.

I would not be surprised to see it jump huge again tomorrow. its politically and meme charged.

And it would appear that the reverse merger company managed to ripoff an open source code. (TRUTH App May Violate Terms Of Open Source Code It’s Built On)

This is the sort of thing in and of itself that would cause me to steer clear. Add in the absolute crazy price action, and it is sideline popcorn time.

Definitely not for the faint of heart this stock. I did get in and out a couple times today. Pretty easy money when a stock goes up like this but can also go down just as fast.

I will definitely be watching it tomorrow as I am sure many will be.

#15050 36 days ago

DWAC up 85% from Yesterdays close. I would not be surprised if it goes well above $100 this morning at opening. 24.5 million shares traded before the market has even opened. Crazy times.
