Hello all,

I love my STLE and, I suppose like all NIB machines, needs a few tweeks here and there. One aspect I found interesting was the white flipper buttons as I was not entirely sold on them. I was thinking of putting on some blue LED flipper buttons such as the one found at cointaker.com (please see http://shop.cointaker.com/product.sc?productId=1135&categoryId=173):

Has anyone tried this yet? If so, how did it look?

The lighted flipper buttons look great. I have a red set in my Xmen. The blue ones would look really sharp on the LE and fit in well with all the other lighted items on it. There is a secret to installing them though, you need to bend the LED wires and point the tips of the LED's directly in the centre of the button. I found this gave the most amount of illumination.

best way i found was one socket (555) with one flexible led (of your choice), this way light is directly on the button tip so no lost in the cabinet and wired directly to the coin door G.I.

That is a good idea. Do you still use the LED boards that come with the buttons?

I love the LED flipper buttons and they look awesome, but they are not perfect (very close). They tend to wear more and occasionally have some resistance to them. Not really sure why, but I've pulled em out and sanded them once.

nope just a socket and a flexible led and of course a clear flipper button.
screw the socket close to the clear flipper button (inside cabinet) and put the flexible led right up to it. this way half of the light is not lost inside the cabinet, it's directly in the button.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for the replies! I appreciate it! I do not think, though, that I have the courage to wire anything, especially into a brand new game. Due to this I am going to go with the Coin Taker LED flipper buttons.

Thank you again!
