I had this happen on mine, turned out that the front opto under the vengeance wasn't working, so you might check there, and switch test in general.

Go into switch test in diagnostics. With the glass off put your finger, ball, pencil or something under the vengeance to block the two optos and see if you get a response on the diagnostic display. You should see two red lights (from the emitters) on the side wall under the vengeance, one red light for each opto pair.
