This is the main reason why I did not like the OP initial post. There have been games I thought were not going to be to my liking, such as Gilligan's Island and Wheel of Fortune, yet I tried them and really liked them. Alternatively, there were games I thought I would really like that I did not. I just have to be open and try a game before making any conclusions.
However, I do not feel that it is always possible to find a machine before possibly buying as many of the old games can be hard to locate (thankfully there are a few arcade and pin festivals I can attend where I might be fortunate and find a machine I am looking to try; newer games might be easier). I, too, would also be in the position of having to research a game before buying which may not be easy and is a little scary with the prices involved. Yet I do not think I would be wholly negative towards a game I have not tried, including one I am thinking of buying.
