Hey guys.
Just noticed for the first time that on my STLE, the cabinets side phaser lights, start button and fire button lights are all out and not functioning. No tech alerts are coming up either.
In the manual, it indicated these lights are connected to board 10.
However, not being the most tech savvy, I can't locate board 10 and I am also wondering if there is a fuse that could be blown.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

check the connections on ls and rs of the inner cabinet in the back (the main cabinet). the lights on mine were not working also and it was the ribbon cables disconnected for those lights. there are i believe 2 small boards for those lights back there

This board is in a lousy place, at the back of the cabinet. It's easy to dislodge the connector when putting the head up and down. Fold down the head and look down into the holes that the back box would be covering, if it were in the up position. You'll locate the boards there.

Thanks for all the help. You guys nailed it.
Correct, those two connectors on the left side had fallen out.
Everything works perfectly.
Love Pinside and it's so appreciated.

Glad to help. It's pretty disappointing that they located these boards in such a vulnerable spot, especially for a main bling feature on such a high priced pin. Mine were damaged by a 3rd party moving company and I had to straighten half the connector pins with a needle nose pliers. Not something I care to do again.

Yes, completely agreed. Those boards are placed in a vulnerable spot and a bit awkward to conveniently access. Thanks again!

One quick note about these boards. Always make sure you triple check that you're plugging the connectors back on properly and not upside down. If you plug it in upside down, you will blow the ICs on the board and possibly other ICs downstream.

I did this by mistake recently on the board that controls the phaser on the right side of the cabinet ... Fortunately, replacing the ICs fixed the problem due to my complete stupidity (it was haste after a shop job ... I normally note things, but didn't since it was my own machine and I wanted to play it all cleaned up )
