It seems like the balls I bought from Ball Baron (mirror finish) have a bit of grease on them. No matter what I do, though, I can’t seem to get them to the point where they’re not a little “sticky.”

The byproduct of that is that it seems to lift the carnauba wax off the play field. I see wax building up on the balls and I see marks of the wax on the post rubbers. I also see a lot of English on the balls after a few plays... more than it seems there should be.

Is there a trick to getting balls to the point where they aren’t sticky? I’ve tried a couple different cleaners (novus, windex, naphtha) and I use microfibre to clean it. Am I missing something?

Using them in AFMr, so no magnets. Thanks for the recommendations all. I’ll see if I can get my hands on some isopropyl alcohol, but I remember having a tough time recently when I was looking at making some homemade hand sanitizer. It may be I’m using too much wax, too. I’m still learning.
