I will also consider a Stern Star Wars if it's an all around quality game and not just a cash grab.

If it had an LCD, with orchestrated audio, and non-Photoshop vector/drawn artwork... I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Which means we will likely get the same DMD, midi, and the best cut & paste job with raster graphics they can crank out in a hurry.

agree 100%

Just caught up on this thread and am looking forward to Star Wars.

Jumping back to the trek discussion, I love my pro, very happy I decided to get it. Hitting that warp shot over and over will never get old for me. I like the playfield art minus the fact they printed the three in a row on it. I like the cabinet art. Hate the translight but many were lucky to get an alternative and someone else may make one in the future. The flow captures the theme of fast and smooth space travel and the audio effects are just fricken awesome. Call outs do suck. My only regret is not having an le but would never pay that much anyways.

Either way, raising prices to gouge even more and/or not including an LCD? Don't care how 'awesome' the pin is. I'll be savin', not spendin'.
Stern needs a pee pee flick.

Upvote for the obvious. Thanks for the chuckle!!..

Trying to be objective here.

Disney will never deal with a cie who takes years to developp a product

The new redesign of SMVE is at Marvel request ? right ? so Disney

Tron Disney, POTC Disney

not very difficult to draw a conclusion. The 2 cies seems to share the same bed

Well there is always CES 2017 to hang our hopes on..

If anybody @ Stern needs a beta tester for that pin, I volunteer as tribute

Damn I want borg to do it and buy both LE versions!

#159 8 years ago

Starwars pin= yes
Stern?=yes please
2016=no don't think so.

why? by the time its finished its 2017 and Disney come's with starwars#2 6-2017 and won't give any info before screening so a The Force Awakening pin already outdated. So what name to give the pin?.
Or wait after movie#3 to call it trilogy again.
Lets hope it is already there for release instead of GB.

In 2002 some one give me 6 name's of new Stern pins in advance they all where true.
One fell off Harry potter .
So its possible that Starwars is already playable and waiting for the graphics and film clips and is coming soon.

#160 8 years ago

I think that Star Wars is going to happen in 2016 but its not going to be a Steve Ritchie pin.

Quoted from pninja005:

I'm partial to JB but either is fine Sheats is the key for me though.

#162 8 years ago

I'd be all over the original trilogy pin.

Wait a few years and do a new trilogy pin.

The original trilogy would sell like hotcakes after a Greatful Dead concert.

Jar Jar doesn't deserve to smell the Ewok's shit!

How DARE that asshole bring up Jar Jar!

(Im assuming you were making an Ed Wood reference there? Awesome!)

Borg's doing Areosmith with Lonnie and the gang after Trudeau and Dwight do Ghostbusters.

Ritchie and Lyman are doing TFA for the final main game of 2016.

#166 8 years ago

@ Captain_Kirk - Do you think Star Wars will be available to ship before end of 2016?

#167 8 years ago

I would like to see a Star Wars pin come out after the next couple of movies are done. Then, make it another "trilogy" pin.

#168 8 years ago

Although..maybe they should grab Daisy Ridley and John Boyega now to do the voice work...while they are still relatively poor.

By the time that third movie rolls around, I'm guessing they'll be making more than $200k per movie...and making extra money via voice work won't really matter.

No need to wait any longer.... The new SW The Force Awakens pinball is here:

#170 8 years ago

what's TFA??? SW-The Force Awakens???
if so, likely in but will see what it looks like
gonna need some wow factor to unseat any of my current machines

#171 8 years ago

zen studios star wars looks pretty sweet! link below has video.

the guy playing it is terrible.

Says the man with stellar inside info......
If it has a lcd display I might have to save my cash!!!!!

Star Wars without LCD=I buy JJP's next game.

#173 8 years ago

I hope SR doesn't rehash an old design.

Quoted from mesmashu:

^^ LOL.

#175 8 years ago

As long as Lyman is on Star Wars, I'll insta-buy. Lyman is absolutely the key variable for any new Stern pin in my eyes.

#176 8 years ago

If he does borrow a design I would be OK with Keith Elwin's Archer.

#177 8 years ago
Quoted from mesmashu:

He's probably going to try something completely new because it's such a huge IP. I'm expecting maybe 3 flippers with an upper right flipper, an upper right flipper loop, a spinner on the left orbit, a super smooth left and right ramp, a cool toy in the center... Sort of like High Speed meets STTNG meets Star Trek meets Getaway meets Spider Man meets GOT meets No Fear...

Waaaaaait a minute.

Off with your heads, ye Ritchie haters!

Dwight is also excellent. Glad he's back at Stern.

#181 8 years ago

I definitely agree they need to redo the original trilogy, just too epic of a series and none of the existing machine do it any justice. Couple this with the lcd display, Lyman on code, hand drawn comic art and it would be a huge hit!

Just saw the new movie and not impressed, pretty boring if you ask me. The story line and new characters did nothing for me. Not a huge SW fan but have to admit the originals still hold up much better.

So far you are the first person I have seen that says the movie was not good.

Quoted from Roostking:

Just being honest. It was neat to see the old style they brought to the movie like the originals but nothing else was so special about it.

#185 8 years ago

yeah where's my money?

And Mnpinball is the Nostradamus of Stern.

#192 8 years ago

I think it's premature. A trilogy makes sense because Force Awakens ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Heck, what would a designer do with Luke Skywalker?

Can you imagine if the DE Star Wars was based only on Ep 4 and 5?

#195 8 years ago

Mmmmm, yeaaaaaaah.

You lost me at "Jack said"

#196 8 years ago
Quoted from mnpinball:

Who's doing Jurassic World ?

No one, since it's not being made.

#197 8 years ago

I bet your Powerball winnings against mine.

#198 8 years ago

With the new star wars trilogy and 3 more spinoff movies, there is sure to be some SW pinball.
