Luckily, they don't make pins based on chart success - both of these bands, like you said, have massive fan bases. They've both sold over 100 million albums each. KISS has been in the Top Ten twice.
Kiss, Iron Maiden are two of the most unsuccessful charting bands in history that made the most money. I guess at the end of the day what matters is the bank account, so that makes them successful.

Iron Maiden, they dont write "toe tappers", as you know, so your argument is kind of lame in the first place. They never tried to be anything more than what they are, radio be damned.
