Well that piece of Stern Insider info lasted a whole 45 seconds before it was on Pinside........

Quoted from mozach:Slayer?
Quoted from riggy469:Smashmouth?
Nickelback?
....quietly hides back behind my rock.....
Quoted from Gryszzz:It's Kerry King. I knew about this last week like a lot us, but didn't run my mouth off about it as to not piss off my source.
Also....SUPER STOKED!
Agreed, even with the heavy rumors about this in the last week I got to admit I got chills down my spine the first time I saw the video!!!!!
Quoted from AUKraut:I wonder how many LE pre-orders have been placed by now????
Quoted from ATLpb:I know of at least one
SHOCKED!! I tell you....SHOCKED!!!! LOL.....
Quoted from PinMonk:Meh, the factory Stern balls are "good enough" for the first round. This is a route. A new set of balls (4 or 6) goes against income. Tossing them is tossing money out. They do usually get replaced in 6 months or whatever, but they are never tossed out. The disco ball ones were a new one on me, though. Never seen ones that soft, and it wasn't all of them for some reason.
We unboxed a Munsters Pro at our local arcade's Launch Party, and 2 of the balls had more dimples than a Titleist....fresh from the factory.
Quoted from PersonX99:That is what I thought too. I'm just trying to find out the perspective on the overwhelming desire for the pre/le over the pro. Is it the desire for a physical ball lock or the nostaglia of BK having an upper pf? Something else?
A BK without an upper playfield is like a cheeseburger without the cheese......
Quoted from newtoit:Are we 100% the lightning ramp doesnt lif up? It looks possible halfway up the ramp... where the lightning bolts stop.
Perfect mod opportunity for someone...........
Quoted from RipleYYY:personaly, if i have to use only 1 word after this stream, it will be : disappointed
strange feeling, as i was waiting so much from this franchise (may be too much ???)
i dig the overall artwork, colors, theme, screen animations, and of course sounds (even if already too repetitive with some music loops, remember BK2K)
but as a player, the flow & the gameplay !? oups no...
i know its still way too soon to have already a full judgement (and here i dont forget the code), but when they're saying "amazing" at the end of the stream, sorry, its not my feeling
Quoted from gliebig:That music sounded good at the beginning but grated on me after a few minutes. Looking forward to putting some plays on it at Allentown.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:I don’t know, mixed feelings for me. Don’t think I’ll own one but definitely looking forward to flipping one on location.
Glad I'm not the the only one with these thoughts after watching the stream yesterday. Sat down in high anticipation, but I walked away underwhelmed.....
Quoted from crlush:I had the same reaction to Munsters but not till after I played it. I was excited when revealed, and and after Deadflip stream, but thats where it ended for me. I love Black Knight, I like BK2000 but it had to grow on me, I couldnt stand the music at first but it ended up growing on me, looking forward to playing some BKSOR.
Oh, I'm looking forward to playing it as well. To me this was the first Stern reveal stream that has not helped in building the excitement within me. All the rest in the last 2-3 years have. Don't get me wrong, I know Steve, Tim, and the rest of Stern have worked hard on this and I love their enthusiasm shown in the stream.
The Pro reveal was OK, about what I expected, and was really dying to see the Premium/LE gameplay with the upper playfield. Then they swapped over to the LE....that upper playfield NEEDS something. Right now it's a flipper, a 3 ball mechanical lock, and a loop switch. It needs a pop bumper, or a slingshot, or a target bank, or inline drop targets.....something. Heck, in a lot of cases lately Stern's later code additions has saved the day (TWD, BM66, GOTG, DP), but unfortunately there is nothing to write code for on the upper playfield!
Yet, I'm still hopeful that 3-6 months from now this turns into a great pin. BK was such an iconic pin during my childhood and holds a special place in my pin memories when it first came out.....
Physical game enhancement -> bigger playfield posts in the lower rubber ring area on the upper playfield causing the ball to bounce instead of allowing the ball to drain away from the upper flipper
That would be my guess.....
I will say this, and especially the Premium/LE: This game is growing on me, it's going from a "not-for-me" level to a "This-might-be-a-great-game-when-the-code-is-done" level!
