Hey, someone had to do it..

But seriously, if Stern is sticking to their current formula it'll likely be a music theme. Any guesses?

I'm betting either Aerosmith or Rush. I'd put money on it being Aerosmith though..

    #2 11 years ago

    Lol man already?

    April Wine pin...

    #4 11 years ago

I would buy Aerosmith OR Rush. Rumor I heard (from a pretty good source) was Resident Evil. We'll see.

    #5 11 years ago

    Spinal Tap, baby!

Quoted from pinball_customs:it'll likely be a music theme.

I hope it's not another music pin.....

Personally, I am REALLY over those already....

    Slipknot???

    #10 11 years ago

I thought resident evil too. I dunno

    #11 11 years ago

I would like to see a MIB to tell you the truth. Another trilogy pin! They could do alot with that. Im not a big fan of the music pins (and i play guitar). MIB is a chance to use some new tech and push the bar as far as toys go. Im all in for a avengers also.

    Frankie goes to Hollywood?????

    #13 11 years ago

    Eh DAY MURPHAY????????????????????

Ok, I am done entertaining myself.

    Peace, pinheads

Nope not yet. Last year was around this time Tron, then TF and then AC/DC.
So there is something between the music pin first. Avengers or Resident Evil perhaps?
And it's not like Stern makes a music pin every year. This year was AC/DC, last year TRS, and then it's way back to 2004 for Elvis.

i would so buy that! no multiball for you!

    #20 11 years ago

    Avengers.

    Resident Evil maybe.

    Star Trek - next year.

Led Zep - couldn't get agreement from all band members last heard.

    Other music pins??

umor I heard (from a pretty good source) was Resident Evil

I hope not.. The game series is cool, but I dunno if it would translate to pins well.

You know I'm down for that! One look at my avatar ought to confirm that....

    Indeed, Miquel. Nice homage

    #24 11 years ago

I'd like to see Aerosmith OR Resident Evil (though as far as zombies go, Walking Dead would be cooler). So you all think that they might follow up X-Men with Avengers? Because I am pretty sure we would buy Avengers, I like that property better than X-Men (but Batman best of all).

Truthfully, I've got my fingers crossed for Adventure Time some day.

    #25 11 years ago

Please just let it be an LCD pin whatever they choose.
    Avengers definitely needs an LCD.

    #26 11 years ago

Resident evil would be very cool, they probably will, that combats the whole zombie theme right.

    #27 11 years ago

I would buy a Walking Dead pin on the spot sight unseen. Although I thought the same about X-men and I am glad I didn't. lol

    #28 11 years ago

Amy Winehouse.....start with a high score and see how much you can go downhill to get the highest negative score.

Yea, I know, not politically correct. But it would be innovative. Kinda like the dying flippers in Kingpin.

    #29 11 years ago

Perhaps we should start a "If the next pinball was a typical pinball forum poster" thread?

    #30 11 years ago

    Avengers 2012
    Led Zep 2013
    Star Trek 2013

In that order says mnpinball crystal ball.
    Ball subject to change.

    #31 11 years ago

    You are killing me!!!!

I was just converting to WOZ...I swear for 4th time I was about to pull the trigger and now Led Zep.

Thanks goodness!! Life is good : )

    #32 11 years ago

Man, all their music pins are designed to hit people in the 40's and 50's . . . they really need to make at least ONE music pin targeting the Gen X'ers. (Led Zep hits the exact same people as TRS, AC/DC, Kiss, etc... even Elvis was hitting only the older people).

How about a "Battle of the Bands" music theme with the following all in the same pin (you could pick which of the three you would play as and try and "out sell" the other two):

    Nirvana
    Pearl Jam
    Smashing Pumpkins

Man, last couple titles from Stern, are with out a doubt, wish list worthy games

My vote is for Pink Floyd. Flying pigs, brick walls, unlit side of the moon; the possibilities of playfield toys are endless! And the music..... bring it on!

This will be an epic run of licensing if those are the next few games.... We should all get divorces now!

There really needs to be a METALLICA pin. Pro version and a LE version - "Master of Puppets" or "Ride the Lightning" or even a "Sandman" version. Game would be sick!

    #39 11 years ago

Musician or rock band pins never really blew my skirt up. I dunno, if I want to "play" a jukebox, I'll throw a ball in it and shake it around myself. I've got memories tied to a lot of classic songs and none of them have to do with pinball. I don't want to hear a song down the road after a band's pin has been made and get pissed off because all I can think about now when I hear a song of theirs is how I'd better shoot the left ramp, then hit all the drop targets in order to start multiball and how I can never seem to pull it off! No, I've got good memories tied to classic music and I'm not going to change that.

Besides, I thought we all agreed that Stern's next pin was Futurama? Or do we need to necromance that thread again?

Rehab multiball.... Detox Wizard mode... That ones a nail bitter!!

    #41 11 years ago

I don't know if I would want to play a Pink Floyd pin. Would much rather sit back, smoke a cigar and watch someone else play it.

Any idea when their new platform with LCD would come out..for Star Trek?

I read a forum post from a guy that knows a Stern Employee's baby sister that Avengers is the First LCD... Take it to the bank!

    Star Trek - next year.

Resident Evil is my dream pinball theme, as it's my favorite video game series. I just hope it isn't based of the terrible movies.

    #46 11 years ago

I honestly think a non-licensed zombie pinball machine would be so much better then Walking Dead or Resident Evil. Don't get me wrong, I love the human drama in The Walking Dead, but I'm not sure it's the right fit for pinball. Of all the zombie licenses, I think Zombieland would be the best. I mean Woodie Harrelson, Bill Murray, Emma Stone, "zombie-clowns", "zombie kill of the week", "twinke", "double tap"... plus, all the other rules. It would have everything, I'd want in a pinball machine.

    Avengers is the First LCD.

how much LE going to be, 10k ?:s

    #48 11 years ago

I good for a resident evil or star trek. No thanks on a music pin unless its Iron Maiden.

    #49 11 years ago
    Quoted from mnpinball:

    Avengers 2012
    Led Zep 2013
    Star Trek 2013

These are good times, but more of the same...

Superhero again, music again and a 5th Star Trek pin...

    #50 11 years ago

Either Killer Klowns From Outer Space or an unlicensed haunted house pin.
