I’ve owned both. Two totally different layouts. Really depends on what theme you enjoy most. I would argue that JP is the better game. For the same price I’d go with JP, I really enjoy 3 flipper games.

I'd go jp. I like potc, but you will quickly get through the modes in it. Jp better code and challenge.

POTC is the easier game skill wise of the two. Keep that in mind depending how long you plan on owning. Solid games

POtC is a better world under glass and a much better family pin

JP pro is a technical pin for pinheads, it has a masterful but potentially bricky layout and you have to be a very good player to even sniff the mid way wizard modes

I would personally choose JP but it depends on you and your audience

I own both and enjoy them. If you're more of a competitive strategy based player get JP. If you are a casual player and want a game for the family get Pirates.

If you like dinosaurs more than pirates get JP.
If you like pirates more than dinosaurs get POTC.

Not sure how you are buying a NIB JP for ~ 5K? I'd say that a VERY nice POTC can be had for high 4's. I bought my POTC last year and I'd rate it a 9/10. It has been issue-less. I've got to think that the JP will set you back ~7K in the door.

I've never played JP, but find the POTC a very nice game. I'm not a pro, so my games are still <70MM score. Every time I play, I get better and learn more.
