No idea of the PF, but I like the look of this overall presentation way more than "the pin" or Spidey Home version. If they were to redo Spidey Home in this cab, I think it would sell better.

Not exactly on topic, but I'd like to see them re-release Spiderman Home edition in this package. They also need to fix the insert colors on that one. I was watching the dead flip vid on Spidey home and there are callouts like "shoot the blue shots for Venom" and Venom is white in the home version. Also Doc Ock being the same green as Goblin bothers me for some reason. Need to make his inserts red and Venom's blue and all would be right with the world. I'd be down for a Spidey home version with that in mind.

Quoted from pantherpinball:

So then the ball is there for a multi-ball at the start of next game? In other words, there is no "reset" to this?
...
Lets say you are on your 3rd ball, and have the ball stuck there for the ball lock.... and you lose your ball.
This ball that is in the lock starts there on the next game? Really?

Yes. And like older games (Taxi for example), there is lock stealing. So P1 drains with a ball in there, P2 can one shot multiball right away.

I don't mind lock stealing. (Love how Pink Panther does it.)
I guess what I mind is that the game has no way to start fresh. You could walk up to it with a 3 ball multi-ball waiting on ball 1, shot 1.

Even TSPP did this as a default setting. If there were 2 balls on the couch at the end of a game, player one only had to lock a single ball on the next game to get couch MB. I changed that setting to have the couch empty after every game when I owned it.

In that it is not what is normally seen in size and features. But it is very close I'll give you that.

Rules seem deeper than Munsters. LOL. I keed I keed.

Quoted from paul_8788:

There hasn't been a NIB MSRP of $4500 dollars for a "Pro" level machine in a decade.

It wasn't quite that long ago. I paid 4500 shipped for my Metallica Pro in 2014. It does suck that the same game today is 5600 (maybe a few hundred better if you have a good relationship with a distributor). I think this SW home pin is good looking and looks fun.

If this does well for them, I think they may want to re-release Spidey and maybe Avengers home versions in this new cab style.

Quoted from Psw757:

Yeah - standard machines and never had any on display to get a taste. At lease not in the Philly metro area and we have some large Best Buy’s with all the high end stuff.
They ought to give these a go there.
They did have success selling them at the sharper image when they were in business in the early 2000’s. That’s where my potc was bought from.
All about the target audience.

They also sold them via the web through Sears for a bit.

Quoted from Tranquilize:

With the materials used and the lack of manual, these appear to be treated as disposable pins. I'd say the average consumer would pay 1k, maybe 1.5k max for a temp toy. Once they break, they will go up for sale, just like the ol' air hockey table covered with dust in the basement.

Ah, yes. The old air hockey/laundry folding table lol.
