Stern has been trying cheaper versions for years so they must either sell more then pinside thinks or they think they are on to something and just have to get the formula right. More pinball is always a good thing. The game actually doesn't look horrible to me. Also these releases never have anything to do with sterns cornerstone game releases. So no clue why anyone would be disappointed or worked up about it, wait a few weeks and everyone will have something new to bitch and moan about.

Quoted from delt31:

Sorry but for Stern to hype this home version like it's their next big new game is complete bullshit. That's the problem. Simple as that.
Hopefully Stern has another trick up their sleeve today and rights the wrong.

There has been almost no hype other then KE insinuating that his game is coming soon. Do you want stern not to tell people they will be at a show with a new release just because it's not what you wanted? That makes zero sense. Right the wrong, lol what are you talking about?

Quoted from Aurich:

What hype?
Serious question, I have no idea what you're referring to. A press release? They're releasing a new product that they clearly worked hard on, at a big convention, and put out a standard press release.
What else?

Apparently people cannot wait 2 more weeks to see the next cornerstone game so temper tantrums will be thrown. And once the next game is released more temper tantrums will be thrown because its not perfect for them either.

Actually looks decent enough gameplay wise. It's not like the pro provides more mechs or anything. A decent option for a SW fan that wants to play pinball and save $1400 compared to the pro.

Quoted from pantherpinball:

I don't mind lock stealing. (Love how Pink Panther does it.)
I guess what I mind is that the game has no way to start fresh. You could walk up to it with a 3 ball multi-ball waiting on ball 1, shot 1.

You must really dislike Willy Wonka then as the LE has a very similar special to the LE feature. Lots of older games had similar lock stealing or locks waiting for the next person. It's actually really fun with multiplayer or was a great way to get the player to drop another quarter or for the next person that walks by to quickly drop a quarter in.

Quoted from Goronic:

When I see 'real pinball' I thing real vs virtual pinball. I would say the home pin is real pinball, just not regular or standard pinball.
But yes, it's very real -- unfortunately
Oh well.

What is not standard or regular about it?

Quoted from Extraballz:

That’s because this isn’t a real pinball machine. It’s a cheap toy. I hope it flops.....

Looks pretty real to me. Maybe I'm not real though and this is all a dream.
