Jurassic Park pinball machines will be available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models.
Like the blockbuster movie, the Jurassic Park pinball experience generates heart pounding excitement as the player progresses through the game. As the game starts, the player is transported to Isla Nublar, an amusement park where escaped dinosaurs are running amok! The player’s mission is to rescue park staff and recapture dinosaurs from the chaotic environment unleashed by Dennis Nedry’s computer virus. All dinosaurs, however, are not created equal as players will battle Raptors and the mighty T. Rex! The game immerses players in the fun world of battling dinosaurs in an action-packed adventure filled with twists and turns.
The Premium and Limited Edition models feature an amazing animatronic ball-eating, ball-throwing T. Rex that interacts with the ball and the player. These models also include an interactive Raptor and Raptor Pen featuring a ball-lock mechanism guarded by a motorized gate. The action does not let up with unique mosquito-in-amber pop bumpers and a custom metal horizontal helicopter spinner.
“Jurassic Park is a classic film featuring what everyone loves¬¬¬¬¬ - dinosaurs! The game is designed to be easy to play, but difficult to master,” said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc.
The Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models also feature a Jungle Adventure Vehicle target in the middle of the playfield that is a spinning Newton Ball. This kinetic target registers direct hits, determines the direction players navigate on the island during gameplay, and lights T. Rex modes. All models include three full sized flippers, four custom ramps, a spinning “Spitter” target, in-lane up/down lock post that sets up critical playfield shots and distinctive hand-drawn art highlighting iconic dinosaurs from the series.
The Limited Edition model is limited to 500 units globally. The Limited Edition model includes additional unique features such as a sequentially numbered plaque, an exclusive mirrored backglass, exclusive custom themed cabinet artwork, a custom autographed bottom arch, exclusive custom art blades, anti-reflection pinball glass, and a shaker motor.

CHICAGO, IL – September 18, 2019 – Stern Pinball, Inc., a global lifestyle brand based on the iconic and outrageously fun modern American game of pinball, announced today the availability of a new line of pinball machines celebrating the iconic character, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! The game was developed in collaboration with the Whizbang Pinball Studio team of Greg Freres and Dennis Nordman. Greg and Dennis developed the first two Elvira games. Elvira’s House of Horrors pinball machines will be available in Premium, Limited Edition, and Signature Edition models.
The taunting is over and the haunting begins in the third and campiest installment of the Elvira pinball trilogy! Trying to sell her mansion through “Alternate Realty”, Elvira’s house is haunted by the movie characters from her past. These ghouls, ghosts, monsters, and strange assortment of vintage characters with horrific acting skills seek revenge on Elvira while she and the player confront them, sending them back to the “film” from which they came! Elvira’s House of Horrors immerses players in a fun, campy, B-movie universe filled with all of the humor expected from the Mistress of the Dark including custom speech and, in a pinball first, exclusive filming of Elvira for custom video scenes featured throughout the game!
The Premium, Limited Edition, and Signature Edition models all feature Elvira’s “House of Horrors”, a frightening Victorian fixer-upper, full of creepy charm and supernatural surprises. Players can gain access to the mansion through the front door, the cellar, or through the garage which is guarded by a gravestone drop-target. An orchestra of color changing RGB lights accentuates the house in sync with the different “House Haunts” featured throughout the game. Lighted windows and a spinning attic turret track players’ progression on their pinball journey.
If a haunted mansion wasn’t enough to keep your skin crawling, beware of the “Deadhead Family Crypt”! This mausoleum houses a variety of characters that need an awakening courtesy of a steel silver ball to their head. This interactive crypt will keep players on their toes with the Crypt entrance unleashing balls from a separate location while also becoming a physical bash toy. And with Elvira’s pending move from her hopeful home sale, the interactive Elvira’s “Junk in the Trunk” toy allows players to lock balls for a frantic two-ball multiball.
“It was a pleasure to work directly with the Mistress of the Dark on this third collaboration,” said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc. “Elvira’s House of Horrors pinball is a haunting fun time!”
The Limited Edition model is limited to 400 units globally. The Limited Edition model includes additional unique features such as a sequentially numbered plaque, an exclusive mirrored backglass, exclusive custom themed cabinet artwork, a custom autographed bottom arch, exclusive custom art blades, anti-reflection pinball glass, and a shaker motor.
The highly collectible Signature Edition model is limited to 50 units globally. The Signature Edition model includes all features of the Limited Edition game, plus special hyper-chrome embossed cabinet decals, a personally autographed Elvira collectible trading card with cover and mounting, and a signed special Elvira certificate of authenticity that includes a swatch of fabric from Elvira’s iconic red velvet sofa.
Complementing the immersive theme and exciting gameplay experience, Stern Pinball’s powerful SPIKE™ electronics hardware system enables high-definition graphics and innovative animations on the video display. SPIKE™ reduces system complexity and energy usage resulting in enhanced reliability and simplified servicing. Some notes on adjusting for the American inflation rate over the years...
2018 2.44% $5,852.29
2017 2.13% $5,712.78
2016 1.26% $5,593.69
2015 0.12% $5,523.92
2014 1.62% $5,517.36
2013 1.47% $5,429.30
2012 2.07% $5,350.90
2011 3.16% $5,242.44
2010 1.64% $5,082.00
2009 $5000.00
Starting with a $4800 USD game in 2010,
2018 2.44% $5,527.54
2017 2.13% $5,395.78
2016 1.26% $5,283.30
2015 0.12% $5,217.40
2014 1.62% $5,211.20
2013 1.47% $5,128.02
2012 2.07% $5,053.98
2011 3.16% $4,951.54
2010 1.64% $4,800.00
so we can see Pro prices, while being mercifully flat since the start of 2018, have definitely outpaced inflation by about 8.5% over the entire decade.
Mind you, that 8.5% increase has also allowed Stern to increase their release schedules, expand their factories, take on outside contracts, etc, so I'm on Team Yay Capitalism for this one here.
Glad to see they (AMD) stuck to the price they quoted us back in July (for our story: http://www.ausretrogamer.com/star-wars-pin-the-force-will-be-with-you/).
well I am not surprised, screen shots of games and prices in Aus as of
4-10-19
USD to AUD
$1 = $1.48
interesting that they increased the price on machines that are due this month but would of already been purchased 4-6 weeks at a different dollar rate (cheaper) = will just mean less sales in Aus that's all. I bet the prices don't decrease when the dollar improves
good time for JJP, Kingpin guys and Deeproot in the future to jump in with competitive pricing

AMD must be trying to get out of pinball as they not only jacked up the prices of the latest pin but all the other ones they sell including ones in stock.
I think it is also funny they say hurry to get a Elvira LE before they sell out a while back and they are still avialable - prices are getting to high for the aussie market or they are trying to provide a reason for people to buy the home version.

I would not be surprised and I have given up on buying Sterns, I am hoping that Haggis can start getting a few good games out and they can have my money instead.
It is funny that Stern's overseas market and more so Europe, Canada and Australia is 50% or more of Stern's total business, so increasing there prices will reducing their sales but I wouldn't be surprised if they are raising the price as they can afford to loose some sales as large profit margins probably equal that of smaller margins at more sales.
Then AMD raising the price on all their games including ones they already purchased at a lower price and ones in stock is just showing a new side to AMD as I think it is under new management.
I can see prices going up n up n up
My thing with Stern and I only own 4 games of there’s is along with price increases the games are getting cheap ?
Lockdown bar, metal back box ? Boards
With LE,s approaching $10K Not good

I think the new General Manager is increasing prices because even the machines in stock have been going up when other machines go up, I know they don't hold alot of stock but what they do have keeps going up
they must be seeing a slow down in sales unless they want to get out of pinballs
