Hi All,
You know it is hard to gauge these things. I remember complaining about paying for TAF new in the box for $1995.00. A little more than 25 years later they are selling for so much more. It stinks that prices go up. They tend to on everything. My first gallon of gas was 27 cents. One of the saving graces about pinball is they tend to hold value.

But when you got gas back in the day you didn't have to add a cliffy fuel additive, shake 50 times, pump at 72 degrees, and worry about the gas eating the clear off your car........just saying.

interesting thing is Stern's MSRP did not change between Aerosmith and Star Wars yet Aussie's got hit with another $150 price increase after a $200 increase on the Aerosmith.

Must be that darn US/AUS exchange rate affecting the wholesale buy price again. LOL.

Strangely enough the domestic MSRP never seems to go down based on that rationale.

Taken from This week in pinball Jan 2018

Rumors of an AC/DC Luci Premium Vault Edition started swirling last Thursday after a website in Germany posted one for sale. On Friday, Stern confirmed this information on Facebook, stating:

“SHE’S BACK! Back by popular demand, Stern announced at the EAG show in London that a small production run of AC/DC Luci Premium Vault edition games will be available in mid-February.

Most of you remember the dynamic cabinet, translite and mini-playfield art package. Please see the attached photos.

Luci game play and rules remain the same that Steve Ritchie, Lyman Sheats and their team created for popular AC/DC Premium.

Luci has the 12 great AC/DC hits from our AC/DC games.

Luci’s price is the same as the standard AC/DC Premium Vault released last year.

As the market continues to grow. Vault titles are a great way to capture new end-users attention and sales.”

The Premium and Limited Edition (500 made) versions contain some additional, fancy features which we don’t have pictures of yet… But here’s how Stern describes them:

Interactive sarcophagus ball lock.
Motorized secret tomb entrance.
Controlled middle pharaoh laser-cut metal ramp that raises to reveal the underworld scoop.
Dual sensing Newton ball (This is pinball firmly mounted on the playfield that, when hit, transfers energy to a captive ball behind it).
Two custom Eddie sculpts.

While the Limited Edition alone features the following:

Exclusive mirrored backglass.
Upgraded sound system featuring an improved speaker cabinet and high-quality JBL branded backbox speakers.

The MSRP for the Pro Model is $5,999, while the Premium Model will run you $7,599, and the Limited Edition Model a cool $8,999. Stern told IGN that they’ve already entered production for the Pro model of Iron Maiden with the LE to follow in April and the Premium after that, but you can order all three models now from dealers around the world.

if the thread is a joke start your own street prices thread, as I can imagine that would be a nightmare as well as each distributor would offer differently.

like stated in the beginning the thread is based on one constant - stern issuing the MSRP prices at the initial game release.

as for the prices quoted they are correct, see:
post 6 for the official stern release - $5495 MSRP IMV
post 9 for the official stern release - $5995 MSRP TWD Pro

Quoted from JY64:

What you are missing (or ignoring), is that no one who knew anything ever paid MSRP on Stern's pins. You could get significant discounts off of MSRP by going through a good distro. That discount has been narrowing with almost every release as Stern has mandated the minimum price that distros are allowed to sell for and keeps increasing it. My guess is, in the near future it will be like Spooky and JJP pricing, where the MSRP is what everyone will pay.

Also it is believed that Distributors have to buy 10 games (fixed break up) for $70K USD, so at a guess maybe the pricing will be something like this:
7 Gold (7 x $8k = $56k)
2 Platnium (2 x $10.5k = $21k)
1 Diamond (1 x $17.5k)

This would give the dealer at a wild guess about $24.5k profit

Top thread swinks
Wish they had aussie prices listed there also.

I tried to find them via the wayback machine but there aren't many scrapes of amd.com.au there are a few for amusements4kids.com.au though.
