I have an ongoing issue with my LOTR. The dmd works perfect for most of the images and text. On some images/animations the image becomes very faint on some parts or even doesnt show up.
I replaced the dmd with another I had. Checked all voltages. And replaced the larger ribbon cable. The dosplay rom is brand new because i just put the 10.0 roms on.

I looked around and cant find any similar issues. Has anyone seen this issue before?

In the first 2 pics half the image is not there. The 3rd pic is to show it working.

I dont have any other stern whitestars. Would a color dmd solve it?

Anyone have a working used one?

The weirdest thing is that its only that image that i pictured. The first time you get onto the upper playfield to collect souls. When it shows that image half of him is missing, as pictured. But the second time you go ul to the upper pf the image shows two guys and they appear without issue. And as far as i can tell no other images have an issue.

I was able to borrow a new rottendog display controller board and it didnt resolve the issue.

Replaced the dmd with the one from another game and somehow it works now. I already swapped the dmd out and it didnt help but i did it again and it works.

The original dmd for this lotr had burned images in the screen, rough condition. The first donor dmd was also somewhat rough, had a line out. The 2nd donor dmd was a nice one with no issues. Not sure why the first two have problems displYing all images, ill have to try them in another machine.
