I have upgraded the speakers on a few of my premium machines to the KFC-PS1396 instead of the KFC-S1366(which is in LE's), i though the higher model would give better response / power / tones etc. But i'm getting this odd distortion/crackling coming through on various sounds/voices.

It's happening on bother Deadpool and JP.

Thoughts?

I also swap the backbox speakers on newer Sterns, but did not want to add the $$ cost of 5-1/4" mounting plates, so I used the Kicker DSC40 4-inch speakers instead in a direct swap using existing plates. They sound amazing and can be found in the USA for $50 for the pair.
