    OK....total geek hat on....

    The King Kong "Fun Facts" is flat out wrong. The planes are not G.I. Joe Cobra Condors. Those look like this;

    The actual design is based on the Loral Northrop F-19 Specter design, and made into a model kit by Monogram in 1987. I built a couple of them back in the day. One of my favorite all-time fictional plane designs. That looks like this;

    That's just a trick of the perspective because of the curving anhedral on the lower wings. Here's a direct comparison;

    They're direct copies of the Loral F19s (with missiles added).

    Ummm, no. These guys really seem to have an issue with accuracy.
