Bring back the Easter eggs in new games being made
Well, the xenia head squish animation seems risky enough, cant really see something being that much more risky so it could not be put into the game.
"First machine with single pivot playfield"???? I've never owned a DE / Sega game from that era, what are they referring to?
"Was a low production game." Price just jumped $1,000 because it's rare!
(Maybe that's part of the reason they don't release numbers )

Twister doesn't have the traditional Stern/ Data East playfield slide out system. It has a hinge in the cabinet so the playfield can pivot into the uprite position easily. I thought it worked good compared to what GnR had which on a wide machine could not only damage the machine, but the user. And I know it did.

So it's like the pivot system WMS used on System 11 games like HS and F14?

I love that pivot setup. Wish more games had it.

I am really curious as to what differs in the Neiman Marcus version, if there is something extra or it was just 12 early productions or something?
"STARSHIP TROOPERS - 1997. Based on the hit box office movie of the same name, Starship Troopers was released in 1997.
The flippers were in-line rather than staggered, and a little known fact is that if the ball is cradled with the big flipper up, flipping the little flipper will score the left saucer. The big flipper acts like a ball guide.
Programmer Orin Day made two cameo appearances in the display, as the Joker Bug in the Psychic Test card deck, and also in the match sequence.
Jake Busey provided custom speech for the game under the direction of Paul Verhoven.
One may notice that the planet names on the playfield did not all appear in the first movie, they were taken from the book! This is a special nod to hardcore Starship Trooper fans!
The machines toys above the playfield were re purposed from commercially available items, but the under playfield brain bug was custom molded for the game. It is said that the original prototype is laying around the Product Development area somewhere in Chicago.
Besides entering their initials, high scoring players can also select a trooper image to appear next to their score. In addition to the movie characters, special images are available including a demon, a cow (of course!), and a Starfish Trooper.
This was the 5th game of 6 to be in the unique "Sega Showcase" backbox category."
I assume the secret is they are from the book. Maybe not though.
