Just posted on Facebook debut at Comicon. It's posted there so I figured I'd post up a note here since its out there.

Re theme from Whoa Nellie and Dirty Donny with his trademark Van classic art.

The two newest pinball themes are Domino's Pizza and PBR. Who the hell would have guessed that?

#3 7 years ago

I like it!

#4 7 years ago

So is this an 'unlicensed' theme or does it relate to some music band or brand? I'm starting to feel old not knowing

#5 7 years ago

That's the coolest thing since.... canned beer!

#6 7 years ago

If it just a re theme I hope they put the gobble hole back. You really need a gobble hole for beer.

Is this a corporate promo thing like Domino's or are they going for the hipster demographic?

#10 7 years ago

Funny! Thought it was a Chevy Van pin. There is a song by Sammy Johns regarding that.

#12 7 years ago

Thank goodness it's not Budweiser.

#13 7 years ago

Wouldn't surprise me.......PBR is making a comeback with the new owner (Eugene Kashper). Eugene will be opening a micro brewery in an old church on the old PBR brewery grounds in Milwaukee making brews that haven't been made in 80 plus years. That whole area is being preserved pretty nicely by a bunch of individuals which was spear headed by Jim Haertel. So much history on those grounds, it is one of my favorite spots to hang out in Milwaukee.

Come over to my place and after we power down a suitcase of Pabst Blue Ribbon, I'll explain it to you.

If this was Hamm's beer themed it could sell out in the upper Midwest alone
And the art would be a given...

Looks like a widebody. Maybe a retheme of an old school stern or something completely new.

#19 7 years ago

Does anybody else feel this topic might have ended up in the basement had it not been real?

No, Hamms buyers will not buy a machine or put quarters in. I drank the cheap swill back 30 years ago. This is broke people crap.

#21 7 years ago

I wonder now many of the nerdy types are very disappointed with this as a theme selection.

Utter shock, I tell you!

#22 7 years ago

Way back in high school even the kids wouldn't drink that cheap beer. They said it tastes like horse piss. I always said "and you oughtta know!'... I've never tried the stuff myself.

Or maybe I'm thinking of Black Label beer?

#23 7 years ago

We used to dump cases in the lake and float around in inertubes. It floated and kept the piss kind of cold. When you needed a beer you grabbed one. When you were done you sunk the empty. Funny we never got out to piss. Oh wait, I didn't do that those older kids did.

A lot of Pabst drinkers (and hipsters) at my favorite pinball hangout.

Pabst is a barely okay budget beer that is not even as good a Schlitz - and that stuff sucks!

There's only one more pinball theme needed to complete the Shorty's vibe.

Classic!

Love floating the river, pbr is kinda popular here, kinda. I'd like to have a whoa nelly, but the theme was not a hit for me, pbr might be cool, hoping for a color high Rez pic soon

Worst is I was asking a serious question... I have no clue whats so ever what Pabst is. As a Canadian we don't get this kind of beer here.

Yeah, you guys drink that high society Labatts's stuff

#31 7 years ago

It will be interesting to see the msrp on this, i dont see a PBR fanboy ponying up $5k+ for one. Maybe its just a promotional giveaway

Did you ever stop to think a pinball fan might want one?

Not everybody is into fairies or 80s movies.

It says the beer store at 1675 Tenth Line Road
Orleans, ON K1E 3P6 carry's it.

#37 7 years ago

Now do you believe me?

#38 7 years ago

Shit that's like 2km from my house. Now I won't have a choice but to really see what this Pabst thing is all about. I'm I going to taste water with a sliver of a hoppy taste, the entire fizz of a soda bottle, or the thickness of a guiness... I guess I'll soon find out

#39 7 years ago

You just gotta rotate those cheapie cans to keep the palate guessing. I generally run in fiscal quarters. 3 months of Boh, 3 months of PBR, 3 months of Genny, Schiltz & naturAl light, and then round out the 3000 pack with three months of Boh. That's a solid year. Feel free to rotate the PBR thru twice a year(instead of Boh) Honestly it's a half shake better. But enough about drinking. This machine is the worst. Wrong wrong and wrong. Oh and stupid. Dunb and stupid and wrong ;boilinblood;

#41 7 years ago

When PBR was broke ass beer It wasn't a big deal.
Then it got a hipster reboot and it's a thing.
But of course they'll just say they dont really care.
I would throw a quarter in it.
But 3 plays for a buck?
That Nelly better have a PBR between them melons.

Why did you mods remove half my conversation in that other thread ?
F*** that noise. Eject me all you want but don't f***ing delete half my shit and try to clown me.
F*** whichever one of you that did that.

#44 7 years ago

I had posted an appropriate quote from Frank in Blue Velvet about his love for Pabst.
Got moderated due to the F word. Oh well.

It's called ejection without erection.

I mean deletion without completion.

Deletion without recognition! That's the one.

Gryszzz,

Focus back on beer and melons.

Remember back at the Indy 500, we saw a couple young rowdy dudes get escorted by police to the Time Out Area.
...and we managed to stay out of that bummer zone.
