Quoted from jrpinball:

Those are Hamm's cans, not PBR. Hamm's is pretty decent for a cheapie beer. Better than PBR. The worst beer ever is Utica Club! That stuff tastes like chemical soaked cardboard!

They're not all Hamm's cans. Lots of PBR in that photo, too (circled below), and since this is a thread about a Pabst licensed pinball machine, PhilGreg was correct to point out the PBR cans in the photo.

The shit beers of my youth were: Milwalkees Best and Schaefer.

I remember, for a while, everything was (Shit Beer name) ICE.

WTF was all that about?

Piels and Natty Light here.

$2 Pitchers on Tuesdays in college of Natty Light.

Piels tastes better warm I think.

Quoted from Whysnow:

where are the nipples?

I hate to sounds crank and agree,...but what pinball of the era this would fit into didn't have nips showing through.

#256 7 years ago

Is it possible for you to be happy with no nips this time around? The rest of it looks good.

Quoted from ttown:

Yes . I have a strikes and spares playfeild in my coffee table. That has enough to go around.

Option 2: we have someone mod up some artwork for this game. There has to be an artist on here that can add some on the gal right below the score kind of half below the backglass. Easy mod.. even possible 3D.... oh no what have I done..

#259 7 years ago

I love the art.

The only thing I'd change would be to make the pop bumper caps into bottle caps (yeah, I know there are no caps on cans....)

It should have dual built in can holders..

#261 7 years ago

For the price. It should refrigerate your beer. 6300+

#262 7 years ago

Built in Kegerator LE model being approved by Gary Stern this week. If you order what they call the LEKEG early it comes with a custom tap handle. Stern never sleeps... I think this is all confidential so keep this one secret.

Any new updates on the "Can Crusher"? I have not been paying close attention. I did see they are $6399 on the Pabst site..

Gonna be one rare pin at 6k

I want one of these $2500 Pabst pins to put next to my NGS but the price needs to start dropping.

Quoted from Nevus:

They were supposedly freezing it to the point the water in the beer would crystallize and then straining it out so that the remaining beer was "stronger."

For a while in college (when I live in Portland, OR) Henry Weinhard's Ice Ale was my go to beer. Once I could afford local micros regularly instead of as a luxury that changed.

I just watched a heap of Red Fang on idiot tube and must admit it will be a good match to this pinball.
Lots of fun to be had by these blokes and lots of beer too!
Release the game already. I want to put the code into my WNBJM and rock out with my cxxk out !

#269 7 years ago

I've found the original Pabst Can Crusher!!!

The Can Crusher looks like a 3/4 scale, machine made by Zizzle...

#271 7 years ago

I read somewhere the game will be at expo next week ....

No, it looks like a WNBJM, made by Stern, and re-themed for a beer company.

It's based on 'Continental Cafe' (Gottlieb 1957), so it's the same size as all those late '50s Gottlieb games.

I'm really jonesing for a Nellie pin. I'm going to play both at Expo if they have them.

It's a fun game, if you like old school, EM-style gameplay. I'm sure PCC will be fun, too.

There's a melon patch at work so I understand the wackiness that happens when picking melons. Nothing tastes better than a warm melon in the field.

#279 7 years ago

mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm melons

Step right up and place your order online.

Note: It will take 6-10 weeks for you to receive your machine after placing your order.

#282 7 years ago

That's still months quicker than ordering games from stern this year

#283 7 years ago

Might be a fun, well-built game.... But it just seems trashy to me. Just my feelings...

#284 7 years ago

Has any one bought one yet? Also please post a video as I would love to see and hear more of this game.

#285 7 years ago

Hope to check out the game at Expo.. Artwork..sounds.. THX>

Dead Flip is streaming PBR right now at Expo.

#287 7 years ago

I played it at EXPO. Plays just like WNBJM (which is a good thing), but with different music and callouts. The tilt bob was set pretty tight, though, which limited the ability to nudge effectively.

Still a very fun game.

Congrats! It's a fun game. I played it at EXPO, and I've played its predecessor (WNBJM) numerous times. Glad to see one finally out in the wild. Enjoy!

My family owed a tavern some years ago you are correct with Schaefer.
I would like to ad Ortliebs, Ballantine and Pabst.

congrats!

When can I come play? I'll bring the tallboys!

#293 7 years ago

So it comes with the Van Topper. ?? Sweet.

#294 7 years ago

Looks great.
Are those score reels the same size as classic EMs or are they a tad smaller?

#295 7 years ago

They are smaller.

Added over 7 years ago: close

#296 7 years ago

I can't deny that I find this game very compelling. In some weird way, I actually like it more than WNBJM. It will be interesting to see which version holds its value more in the long run.

I was recently pleasantly surprised (but not shocked as they typically get every new Stern LE) to discover a Pabst Can Crusher at Shorty's in Seattle. Pumped a bunch of quarters into it this eve for the second time and enjoyed playing it.

It's become one of my favorites at Shorty's. It only $0.25 a play too!

#300 7 years ago

Wish it was set for 5 ball play though. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I played it here.
