The asteroid flashers, side rail lasers, speaker lighting, cab. emblems, and ramp chase lights all work in attract mode with latest firmware. And the attract effect actually happens very often...seems like every 15secs or so. Actually a very cool effect on the LE and all functional. The laser cut rails light in various modes during play and so do the warp ramp chase lights. Maybe the asteroids don't light during play yet but they do work in attract mode to good effect and often.
I agree with the spirit of this thread. One could easily read pinside and draw negative conclusions about ST and especially the LE. I think it is an excellent game with deep rules that still need some polishing. The last code update was fairly significant and added so many cool things like the awesome MB start, warp ramp awards, and of course Galactic awards. Still lots of potential for this game. I think its Sterns most impressive looking LE. Great flow and deep rules to keep the home buyer challenged for years to come. Had my LE a year have not even reached Enterprise Amok much less 5 year mission. The new code is helping a lot to advance missions though so that should make Amok and 5 yr mission more likely.
