Just got this home and it is having a DMD issue. Is this just outgassing? Do I need a new DMD?
Also, when I power off the game, I do get the bright line across the DMD as it powers down if that means anything.
Thanks!
Chris

DMD has outgassed and failed. Replace it. If it still doesn't work, check for cold solder joints on the DMD power board
Quoted from WonkoTSane:It is not even showing enough to tell what is going on. Have you reseated the cables?
Yes, that was the first step. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

This was my thinking as well. I might re-solder the Power board anyway, just for the heck of it.
Thanks. Open to other opinions as well.

Quoted from john041160:When you find the problem please post what solution is as I have a similar symptom with my T3
Will do!
I no longer have Monopoly at my house unfortunately (it is at my in-laws). I have Williams and Capcom DMD machines in the basement.

Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Are DMD's universal? don't have another Stern title to test it with.
Same size and type are universal. Small data east, large Sega and newer Stern LED dmds are not.
Might be out gassed. Could be incorrect HV. Easy to check. Connect another display to The game. See if another display works. You can't hurt it.
And you can test power by...

That procedure is for WMS, but it's the same for any DMD game.

Mine is losing some display on certain animations it seems. .I'm new to working on pins so these forums are awesome. Does what i said seem like a gassing issue? I want to put a red dmd in anyway to match the game. .shouldn't be any issues with changing that right? I've swapped out my tron dmd for warrnty issues so i should be good I'd think but not sure about the problem and If there is something different about t3
Might be outgassing. Might be power.
If the red DMD is an LED, then HV is immaterial.
You need to measure the HV values.
