Quoted from AFM95:

I was searching YouTube for Supreme pinball and came across this:

Has anyone seen this? Do you really think he was scammed? Did he make this up? Hard to tell because he looks fairly genuine in his reaction and emotions.

I’ve seen that.
It’s actually been linked to the multimedia section of the games profile for some time now, lol.

What’s up haters? Still sad that such a piece of crap is selling for more than some of your holy grails? I stand beside my original guess that hammer price is between 36 and 40 k.

I'm just grateful the Holy Grails are reasonably priced compared to this junk; I'm playing a Holy Grail pin (Deadpool Premium) right now with my wife and loving it.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Where did you get the 100 figure?
I didn’t think anybody knew how many of these were made.

The production figures that I have seen thrown around are quite confusing at this point in time and all over the place.
There’s a lot of conflicting data in various articles, posts etc.
One article I read said that it was going to be limited to only 500 machines, but also states that it’s uncertain if that many were made. Another article I read says only 12 were made while another article claims 14 were made. The profile of the game on this website says 200 units produced but I’m not sure where that data came from.

My gut feel is that the number is really quite small or you would see more of them for sale on the secondary market.
Then again, these were marketed to a different demographics and maybe people who have them just are not selling them.

Maybe somebody in the know can chime in on this. Then again, maybe the intention is to keep it a mystery.

Time for Stern to open the vault and print some money. Marketing has developed a 3 tier structure so that games can be offered for everyone’s needs.

Supreme vault is an entry level pin and 1500 will be available for $25k. The premium model features an extra letter and one of the 450 pins will cost $50k. But everytime the logo appears, you‘ll get the extra letter for free. For the discerning collector, 14 of an extended version will offer two extra letters and will retail for $175,001, making it the best pin ever sold.

A total of 1964 pins will be made and then no more, just like Gary’s favorite year of 1964. No matter which version you choose - you win, Supreme is a winner and Stern is the winnerst.

Can’t help thinking what this game desperately needs is a topper. Maybe someone will build and offer one for $10k by Xmas. A topper makes your Supreme pinball stand out from the others plus it ties the room together.
If someone buys a pin for 30k, you question their sanity. This game doesn’t currently come with a topper so should the buyer have to spend another 1k for a Supreme brick to put on top? Poor buyer is going to regret settling for a stock Supreme, when he could have one modded to the hills.

As Levi had mentioned several games had 1 or 2 made. Mrs. Spelling paid $175,000 for Data East to produce Aaron Spelling pinball based on LW3.

$175,000? That sounds rather excessive. Are you sure it was not just $75,000?

At a previous Pinball Expo Joe Kaminkow talked of this.

2pm EST/11am PST, Internet bidding is closed. If no more bids are submitted by that time, those two Internet bidders are allowed to join the live auction.

I believe the pin is 119th on the auction block, so we should see it go to live bidding an hour or two after the live auction starts.

Stay tuned.

In on a Supremeriest. It’s SO RARE they’re actually not even making any and it sells for eleventy-hyper-bazillion dollars.

There's some pretty cool art in this auction. The skateboards near the end of the sale would display great with the continuing artwork. The Supreme deck is already double its estimate and who doesn't need $300 bolt cutters? If you win the pin you should get the cutters and use them as a topper!

Man, that buyers premium alone could buy a nice LE or Premium game...

Interested to see what happens when live bidding starts.

#372 5 months ago

$100k by Christmas.

#373 5 months ago

At first I was upset with Stern, but in retrospect, I am happy with them. Imagine if this had been designed to actually be a unique and GOOD game, play wise? As it stands, at least we can watch and laugh at how stupid people with that kind of money can be (without actually feeling like we are actually missing out on anything)

What are Kaws and how did I miss these? They're freaking awesome looking but wow theyre crazy expensive. My wife digs them and says I should look into collecting them. Really like the Peanuts Woodstock one.

A lot of opportunities to buy one.

I just signed up for his mailing list. The 3 sold out ones on his website are pretty sweet. Dude sure has some talent. Maybe I should sell off all the Funko Pop and Mcfarlanes I have and I might be able to afford one or two

They are pretty sweet - especially the ones that are 4 feet tall.

Only 30 more lots until the Supreme pin. Great time to sign-in if you haven't.

Its up

Edit:
And didn't get any live bids. Closed $38,750.00 (31k + buyers premium)

#389 5 months ago

It's official - the Supreme pin went for $38,750.

#390 5 months ago

Well that was disappointing, no bidding war on the pinball

#391 5 months ago

o-din must have overslept.

#392 5 months ago

I guess we now know what someone is willing to pay for one of these at auction.

#393 5 months ago

Well, that’s that. Hope the new owner likes what he bought.

plus how much in fees?

Buyer will also likely pay a several grand in shipping. The auction houses rake people over the coals on that stuff.

They wanted to charge me $1400 to ship a small couch. Had NAVL do it for $600.

#395 5 months ago

38,750 is after fees. 31k was the hammer price

Hammer was 31K so am assuming $7,750.

As someone mentioned, hammer price was $31K, plus 25% buyers premium. If anything is purchased through an auction house, the true value of the item is final bid + buyer's premium. Shipping is a completely separate charge.

Not sure on shipping, but when I have won items from HA.com - their shipping and "handling" is often 2-2.5x what it should be. However, they do a fantastic job packing every item I have won.

Also, they are one of the few auction houses that apply a sales tax currently. So depending on what state you live in, you could have another $2-3K to add to the total cost.

I'm guessing after all of that, unless you live in a sales tax free state, this buyer is paying $42-$43,000 all-in.
