Yeah, SURVIVE is great. Actually got to see them live a couple years ago and they were really good.

It's too bad it sounds like the only original music being used for the show is the theme, as the band that did the music (SURVIVE) did tons of stuff for the show.

Hmmm.. the theme integration is way worse than I anticipated. The clips do nothing to enhance the game, the call outs (what very very little there currently are) sound really unenthusiastic and uninspired. No funny moments being presented, just random stuff with almost no sounds from the show. Upside down mode that last a few seconds and doesn't really do anything interesting. The middle shot which takes forever to get to only lasts a couple shots to complete with very little payoff. Just bizarre implementation. On the positive, this is mostly code related stuff, so it COULD be fixed. The shots look really good, fun and satisfying. Very smooth. But if the code isn't there, we may have another Munster's on our hands, sadly. Either way, seems like status quo for Stern, for what it's worth.

I mostly play on location, and get kind of annoyed having to plunk in dollars to play games that are in beta. It's fun to play a few games to get a feel for the shots, but I'm over putting in a lot of money into until they are mostly finished, which is why I mostly play JP currently as it was actually very well fleshed out and coded at release. I wish this was the norm.

I've seen prototypes of ACDC with Spike (The one at Logan Arcade..), but I'm not aware of them being produced.

Very awkward. I'm pretty sure Jack flew out with all his streaming equipment, so they must have made the decision not to do it because of the inability to capture the footage well..

We still don't (as far as I know!) have one on location in Chicago, which is really weird. I did get to play two different pro's when I was in NYC last weekend though. First one was at Jack Bar and I was able to hit the Demogorgan with zero issues. The 2nd machine was at Sunshine and was able to hit it into the Demogorgan a total of ZERO times. What a difference. I assume it's all in the setup, but come on guys.. its pretty much the main feature of the game.. I think operators should take the time to properly set it up. I love Sunshine, but they also setup their games on tilt sensitivity MAXIMUM. Seriously cannot even slap save their games without insta-tilting. Pretty annoying, especially when their games are setup a dollar each with no price breaks. No Replays and no Matches. Yikes.

Overall left feeling pretty indifferent about the game. Nothing all that inspiring about it, sadly.

Yeah, complain all you want, but Stern doesn't listen to any criticism even if it's constructive since they just view Pinside as a cesspool. Basically what they are telling us is, you don't like it? Then fuck off, we don't need you.

Eventually when enough people have had it, they will have to change their ways. Their annual growth WILL come to an end and investors will start putting pressure on the leadership there. Will see how well they have developed this so called "lifestyle brand" by then...

Finally got to play the Premium at the official launch with the UV kit. While it definitely makes the game cooler, I still think it's absolutely not worth 300 extra bucks and should have been included. Insane.
