Quoted from Capn12:

I'd think the consensus overall, is that Season 2 was the 'worst' of the 3 so far, and that 3 sort of brought back the fun and magic of the show.

The only issue I have with season 3 is the over-done comic relief they decided to throw in there for some reason. I enjoyed the spattering of comedy in the first two seasons but thought season 3 took it a bit too far quite often.

I’d be more excited if any other manufacturer had this theme. I just hope Stern surprises me and does something creative and unique.

Quoted from JodyG:

K-man is reporting there are some real head scratchers on Stern's next pin...some good, some bad. I think we will see something very soon.

Thanks for the scoop J-man.

Quoted from iceman44:

TWD is a Cleland masterpiece!

Yup, best mod for TWD hands down.

#3160 4 years ago

Sorry but I look at this game and have to ask, does it really take a professional pinball designer with decades of experience in this field to design a game like this? Please stop with the AFM and MM comparisons too. I love the theme but this game is a complete letdown. I don't really care what the code turns out to be. And that Demogorgon toy, WTF? …is that really the best they could do? Looks like a prop from a proctology conference. Just another half baked, effortless and low value Stern with a great theme totally wasted.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Pro is just a Stranger Things poster for people to put quarters in at a bar.

That's a good way of looking at it for sure.

Quoted from delt31:

... I'll just say there are a lot of trolls around here.

I guess if we're just labelling everyone we don't agree with in this manner, isn't every single thread on Pinside just a collection of shills and trolls then?

#3192 4 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

It’s much more fun to be in a thread about a game talking with people that like the game.

Isn't that what the club threads are for? Endless orgies of positive thoughts.

I thought this thread welcomed all honest opinions.

Quoted from f3honda4me:

I think some people are too easily swayed by forums, podcasts, etc and just go with the crowd.

That works both ways of course.

#3395 4 years ago
Quoted from Tranquilize:

It's a forum for opinions. I debate with my friends about the quality of each new pin that comes to market. We often disagree and enjoy the debate. I would hate this place if it was a sentimental circle-jerk.
No one is forcing you to read any of this.

I agree.

Quoted from Darscot:

Just to be completely open I work for EA and was the lead software engineer on the most successful DLC in history. I know the amount of internet hate we get. I also know how popular and loved the feature is. Clearly I’m just insane and have nothing to offer on the topic.

Does it suck knowing that your company will never make anything better than NHL '93 for the Sega Genesis?

#3473 4 years ago
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

Whoa whoa, I think you mean '94. Best hockey game ever.

I'm partial to '93 but yes '94 is technically superior. I was out once you couldn't make Gretzky's head bleed anymore. ...was that '95?
Sorry, got a little side tracked there...back to stranger things.

Quoted from Aurium:

Nothing like filtering though BS posts about whiny giberish and DLC content... This thread is crap, start a new one that is actually about the game in the title....

Later.

In case you haven't noticed check the title of the thread... Nothing to do with all this DLC garbage that's filling the thread.

best response ever to an inflammatory post. Good for you

Yeah, he really upped his thesaurus game once he was called dumb. Well done Dr.

Quoted from DRDAVE:

More than likely, atheists really know that God exists, but some have had personal issues with their own father so they equate their relationship with God to the bad one they have with their father.

There is so much more that can be taken offensively in your statement than anything posted by Levi. Leave your nut-bag B.S. out of this forum and spew it somewhere else. Carry on Levi.

Quoted from dri:

It's a clunker.

You are quite literally the only person I have ever heard say that.

#4980 4 years ago

I have to say, the projector worked better than I had anticipated on stream. It looked good. If I were on the fence to purchase a Pre/LE, I'm sure that would have been enough to ease my concerns. I do think that they should have just utilized it only for the big screen and the drops below though, and forget about the ramps completely.

My last NIB Stern was TWD and I'm happy to keep it that way.

LOL, Stern.

#6453 4 years ago

Competition is key....Stern has none and can continue to get away with this bullshit time after time. If they had 50% of the market the couldn't pull this crap. Can't wait to see what Stern has up their sleeves with internet connectivity....lol, what a gong show that's going to be.

#6482 4 years ago
Quoted from russdx:

wonder if they will start locking code features once the games are online and you have to pay to progress through the game Like in most phone apps “double flip to purchase extra mode” lol

I have no doubt something along those lines will happen. Internet connectivity opens the door for them to come up with a lot more creative ways to get us to pay extra for things that should have been included.
