Quoted from pinmister:

The keyboard synth gives me goose bumps when I listen to it, and really gets me excited about this theme. If this machine plays well and is fun for me, I think the first thing I would do is add a Polk sub to it. I can already picture the low bass tones punching through the sub speaker giving the player a great vibe while playing.

I've been saying for years that we need a pin with an awesome electronica synth sound track using synths like the Access Virus which I used to own. That thing can make sounds that make your skin crawl. Combined with the Spooky pinball sound system, it would be awesome!

What's Stern's next pin!

Quoted from IdahoRealtor:

I think IMDN Pro & JP Pro compare very favorably to Spooky pins. For me the ~$6k price point was good for Spooky. $7k+ feels like a lot.

Spooky = no CC pooling and chipping. Sturdy cabinet, excellent upper playfield, better customer service, incredible sculpts and under glass world, awesome LCD animations, all led light show, real back glass, superior subwoofer in cabinet (don't need external one to get decent lows), awesome art package. I ordered mine with lighted speakers and eyeball grills with light diffusers, shaker, real knocker, pinblades, plastic protectors and target decals ALL INSTALLED and shipped for $7200.00. This is far more than any pro offers. And name one Stern premium at that price point?

Let me know how the node boards fare a few years from now?
But in all fairness, Stern did start including service rails underneath the playfield again on pros..

Quoted from Guinnesstime:

So far, Stern games are better overall.
The day someone asks me to see my subwoofer, I'll know the tide is turning, though.

No they're not. And who would ask to see a subwoofer? They are for hearing, not seeing.

Quoted from frankmac:

Spooky subs are not that great.
Yes, I have a TNA and bypassed the stock sub .
Nothing compares to a external powered sub box.
Don’t fool yourself.

Ya, I have two external subs on both my Star Trek pro and Hobbit LE and don't need one on my ACNC at all. So my Spooky has a better sub than a $9,000.00 Jersey Jack LE. Sure an external is better. I agree. But not necessary to have good lows like it is on my ST pro or Hobbit. That is my point.

Quoted from Reality_Studio:

That will make my lineup three modern Stern machines (Elvira, Black Knight, Stranger Things) which makes me wonder, is it possible to setup one external subwoofer that gets shared by all three machines?

Yes!

Quoted from Zablon:

Depends how you are going to use them. If you have more than one game going at a time, it doesn't really matter how you hook it up, it's all going to drown each other out anyway. If you mostly plan to just play 1 game at a time, then you can hook multiple to a single sub and it works fine without any kind of switcher. I think most people keep it to 2 games per sub max.

If your sub has two inputs. One of mine only has one. For that, you need an A/B switch or you are going to back feed a signal into your other pin (if you piggy back them) and that could be bad! All you need is a simple switch like this one...
