Been thinking about the art package and what not on this after watching the video.

Depending on how this game is supported and updated as the show progresses, this might be a really smart art package and lack of toy incorporation.

Take a pin like the walking dead for instance. They put a bunch of play field toys like the barn and the walker in the well in it.
Those were pretty cool when it came out, but now dates it to a specific season.

For the most part the art package is a montage of the main characters, and nothing that really pigeonholes it to any specific season or episode.
Same with the projector screen. One can assume that as seasons progress new footage etc could be added that keeps up with the show as seasons progress.

Quoted from kpg:What type of revolutionary featuring were you expecting? Where lets pop out of the bottom of the cabinet, and flips the machine Upside-Down and a fuckin Demegorgan pops out and high fives you?

Personally I hope they are saving this technology for the next time they do a playboy pin.

Any collectors or locations have this game yet in the Phoenix valley are?
The reviews are a bit all over the place and really want to check it out for myself.

Also, any locations in NYC? I’m going to be there in a few weeks and if there’s one on location there would go check it out.
Thanks

Brooklyn has two, sunshine laundromat and Jackbar. Enjoy.

Awesome, thanks.

I got no horse in this race, but I actually don’t like metal ramps.
I like clear plastic ramps where I can see through and behind them and follow the ball.
There’s a reason all the 90s WPC games used them.
Can you imaging playing a game like CFTBL if it didn’t have plastic ramps?
It would be unplayable.

Quoted from wrb1977:

I guess the doctor missed his nap and is bored again. I seriously doubt anyone would bet you on anything. With the way you handled the sale of your The Big Lebowski, your word clearly means nothing and you’re cheap. Even if somebody won the bet I’m sure you would find a way not to pay up.

The only betting I ever do with Pinball people is betting them a beer.
This way I win either way.
I’m either buying a round of beers or receiving a round of beers.
Either way I win and get to drink a beer.

Quoted from usandthem:

Too be fair, CFTBL has ramps all over the place, including the center of the playfield, and its does have metal habitrails to return the ball. Conversely, Stranger Things has two typical Stern ramps that simply hug the edge of the playfield. And by the way, thanks for making me look at a CFTBL video since you brought up the good old days. What a loaded game!.
Let's face it, we are all Frogs in boiling water. If we fell asleep just 10 years ago and woke up today, we'd have no idea where the hell we were. With the prices what they are and the lack of quality and lack of features what they are, new pinball would die. But since they turned up the heat slowly, we all boiled to death.

I was actually using CFTBL as an extreme case to convey a point, but no matter.
There’s a lot of games that I think just wouldn’t play the same if you couldn’t see thought the ramps.

Quoted from J85M:

A metal ramp flap protector for a metal ramp flap?
Or just go back to using the better grade metal flaps they used previously?

Why does that remind me of this?

Quoted from Who-Dey:

Every CGC and Spooky game I've ever seen has plenty of dimples in them.

Maybe so to a minor degree, but it’s not the same thing.
I own games from all sorts of manufactured Stern, CGC, Spooky, DE, Bally, Williams, SEGA, Capcom, JJP etc.

What it boils down to is it’s games manufactured in a certain time period with a certain type of playfield that are getting this the worst and it’s not like the way it happens on other games.

I’ve been pretty fortunate that none of my modern Stern builds have had the bad dumpling problem.
I play enough route location to know the difference.

I’m not anti modern Stern games. In fact quite the opposite as I enjoy playing them quite a bit, own several and will certainly own more in the future.
All I’m saying is the dumpling issue on certain playfield is unlike the dumpling that may occur on other machines.
